I really hope they re-open soon because this is my favorite cafe in Chicago and I miss it.
Horchata lattes are a treat to find but even better when it's made perfectly. Casa Cactus nailed it, all the ingredients were perfectly balanced! They have a great array of affordable unique bites. I had the chocolate mole cinnamon bread and again, the flavor was subtly sweet and well made, very enjoyable! The overall atmosphere was super chill, serene lighting and natural light from the large window. Nice spot to go alone and have a great view of the city passing by.
I had an horchata latte and chorizo empanada both were delicious. The atmosphere was confortable and welcoming. Definitely will come back.
Casa Cactus offers great food and excellent coffee, with a variety of specialty and seasonal drinks like the lil maple latte. Customers appreciate the nice plates, glazed crust, and streaky cold brew. The space is really nice with a super cool interior, featuring a neighborly feel and Latin American design influence. It's a great place to get some work done or have a nice chat, and the price is reasonable. Friendly baristas make perfectly made and refreshing drinks, such as the iced horchata latte. Music is always a vibe, and the cafe provides a good experience for all.
