Everything we ordered had so much flavor. Salsa (especially the red) is really amazing. We tried the steak tacos, steak torta, Al pastor tacos, chicken tamale, and quesadilla. Everything was fantastic. The flavor of the Al pastor was on point. My husband and I both grew up in Chicago and have had our fair share of Mexican food, we have 4 places within a few blocks of us and this one beats out all of them. I’d rather take a 10 minute drive to go get food from here!
11/07/23 - Taco Tuesday time to try some place else. El Tejado Mexican Grill is located on Central Ave just north of Devon on the east side of Central. My wife ordered a pork taco and a chicken taco. The pork was pretty good but the chicken was totally bland & tasteless. I ordered the 3 taco dinner. 2 fried pork tacos were excellent & 1 shrimp taco that was breaded & not that good. The rice & beans were also bland & tasteless. If I go back again I will get the fried pork tacos...read full review

Great find. High quality and fair price. Besides delicious burritos and tacos, they offer legit Mexican dishes. The specials on the Night I went were quesabirria and l Pozole rojo.Parking: Free parking lot
