Here’s what you need to know: great first experience with service. Went at 10:45AM for an early lunch. Good recommendation from the team (pesto chicken), well made sandwich with premium products. Ambiance is fun for a food hall in the train station. I look forward to trying the other sandwiches there over the next few weeks. Would like more oomph / kick as an option even though I enjoyed my grilled mild pesto chicken sandwich.
Firenze Italian Street Food is a hidden gem in the French Market. I spent about $13 on the Truffle Prosciutto sandwich, prosciutto, truffle spread, fresh mozzarella, arugula, and balsamic glaze on their homemade schiacciata bread. The bread's crispy outside and soft inside made it perfect. Quick service and friendly staff. Great spot for a tasty, quick lunch downtown.
Firenze is a hidden gem if you're craving legit Italian street food in the Loop. I grabbed the La Classica ($14)—thin, crispy schiacciata bread loaded with prosciutto, mozzarella, and arugula. The bread alone was next-level, super light but packed with flavor. My friend built their own salad ($13), and it was fresh, with solid portions. We split a cannoli ($6) for dessert, and it was the perfect sweet finish. Quick service, great prices for downtown, and a chill, no-fuss...
