Based on the reviews, Gallery Café: River West is a must-go in West Town and one of the favorite cafes in Chicago. The cafe has a cute concept with an art gallery right next door, featuring art from different local artists. All of the sandwiches are themed around famous artists, with options like the Monet and Basquiat that are melt in your mouth delicious. The saffron cardamom latte is balanced perfectly, tasting like coffee with no bitterness at all. The syrups are unique and the perfect amount of sweet but not overwhelming. The staff are wonderful, very inviting, and attentive. The cafe is small but cozy with a nice ambiance. The café also hosts creative community events like a plant swap and open mic. A visitor tried two Vanilla Sour Cream donuts, which were beautifully made and delicious. The vibes are always right at this severely underrated cafe.
