Small Korean seolleongtang restaurant in Albany Park. Recently found out that this is an outpost of LA’s Koreatown Han Bat.The Chicago location isn’t as busy but quality feels consistent. We’re lucky to have it in this city where Korean options are relatively sparse.Note, they are cash only.
It’s a MATJIP. Being from Korea having high expectations for Korean dishes, I have to say this is one of my top spots in Chicago. The food is solid and the service is family oriented and warm.

Crazy good authentic, but beware, don’t expect anything more than the incredibly great food. Besides chairs and tables, the restaurant is pretty much bare walls. I didn’t care because the food is that good, but if you are looking for any kind of traditional ambiance or decoration, you will be disappointed.
