“We went during a weekend dinner and were the only dine-in customers. There was a bit of a wait still. Ban chan didn't arrive until the main entrees had come out. I liked the salt and pepper at the table so diners can season according to their preferences.Korean-style steamed eggs was served pipping hot. It was such a a treat on a chilly day: fluffy, soft, light as air, and packed with umami flavors from the broth. Samgye tang featured a rich and milky soup with fall-off-the-bone tender chicken stuffed with glutinous rice. Ban chan was nothing impressive and didn't have a good variety. We only had kimchi, cucumber, potatoes, and macaroni salad. I thought the kimchi was specifically bad due to a chemically taste.“

The star here was the Korean street bbq wings! The wings were absolutely to die for, they were so good that I immediately checked to see if this place was on Uber eats or DoorDash. Sadly they aren’t but I hope hope hope they will be in the future! Amazing food, def check them out“

“Just moved in to the neighborhood and stumpled upon this small restaurant in Andersonville. They offer a delightful fusion of Korean chicken sandwiches and Japanese rice bowls. The Chicken sandwiches boast perfectly crispy chicken with balance of savory and spicy flavors. The Japanese rice bowl with the pork served with tarter sauce created a great balance of tangy and tart flavors. The attention to detail when it comes to the food makes this place a must visit. It's not too big inside but was very clean and the warm friendly staff were great. I did love being able to order from a kiosk which made the process super easy. Food 8.5/10 Sauce 8/10 was flavorful but not spicy we got the Seoul spicy sauce they didn't have the bull sauce. The waffles are kinda small, it's two cut in half and each half was one bite. Ratio of waffles and chicken was not hitting. Service was eh, the nice cashier seemed new and asked us to repeat several times and or didn't know what was in the meal options. It was cold in the restaurant we dined in, hate being cold when eating. Personal preference. Would definitely go back. Wish there was an option to toss the chicken in sauce versus dipping.“

I highly recommend the fire chicken. The cheese is not necessary but get it if you like it. I was surprised by how delicious the chicken was. It was marinated just right. Spicy but tasty. “Today I stopped into En Hakkore to have lunch with a friend whilst our kids napped. The first thing I noticed when I stepped in was that it smelled incredibly strongly of disinfectant or something--not something you want overpowering your guests. But we must have gotten used to it because I didn't notice it quite as much by the time we left. I'm not sure if it was always like this or if they pivoted during the pandemic, but they don't have employees here to take orders. I suspect it was not always that way because there seems to be an order counter here that just isn't used that way any longer. When you enter, there are two order machines (though only one seemed to be working when I visited). There are three tables here, one a long, family-style table, and they bring your food out fairly quickly--I think maybe five minutes or so and our food came to us. It's served in a to-go container but you can eat in if you wish. The food was good. I got the bibimbap with beef and it was yummy. You can switch it up and have brown or black rice for an extra buck; I decided to save the dollar rather than get brown rice. We also got some potstickers to share and those were good as well. I thought the food had good flavor and the beef wasn't fatty, which I hate. I was able to customize my order easily enough to keep off those dreaded mushrooms, but most everything else was delicious. Parking is street only which can be tricky sometimes in Bucktown. You can order in store and wait for your order, or you can order ahead for pickup. They have free water but sodas are in the can for $1.50. Menus are on the order machine, but they have a QR code on the tables to pull it up on your phone and not hog the machine.“
