“Manna is comfort food at its peak. My bf and I found this restaurant when we were exploring the burbs and it left us happy all day long. Service: - Service was super quick and all the aunties were so sweet. They were really attentive throughout the entire time that we were there. - We really really loved the side dishes and we were so nervous to ask for more but they gave us extra because they saw how much we liked it. And as starving college students, that means the whole world. Food: - We got their Gamjatang (Spicy Pork Bone Soup) for both of us and honestly, the serving was more than enough. We didn't expect to both feel full but there was so much meat in combination with the veggies and rice and we were both beyond satisfied. - Broth was really rich and there was such a deep flavor with every bite. We drank the entire thing until there was nothing left. - Side dishes were not just sides in this meal. I loved that there was such a large variety of options that were offered. Our favorites were the pickled seaweeds (I swear its the best that I have ever had) and the Kimchi radish. Ambiance: - This spot is tucked away in the suburbs and it feels just like that. The interior is designed as if you were in your grandmother's home. While we were there, we saw a group of dads, uncles, and grandpas just gathering to have a meal. And it was just so heartwarming to see and this spot is the perfect spot for family and friends gathering. I wish I lived closer because I would definitely be a regular.“
“If you like bulgogi beef this is a good place to enjoy it!I had dinner here and the food was really good, the restaurant clean and the service very friendly. The place has parking spaces and the restaurant looks quite cozy inside.I recommend it.“
“Atmosphere is quite interesting. I was in the indoor but it felf like we are sitting at outside lolWell in which we had good dinner time.Foods are overall good. My kiddos had 2nd dish after finished first bowl real quick.Tendon dish was super good with Soju but it’s very pricey.“
“Nice place with simple menu. Most customers knew what they order, maybe are repeated customers. The side dishes were nice but less choices compare to other Korean BBQ place. Taste of food was good enough, and we have plenty to eat yet we ordered seconds. Price is on the heavy side. We will return there again soon.“
“My visit to Drop the Dop was truly memorable! From the moment I stepped in, the staff greeted me with warmth and hospitality, making me feel right at home. They went above and beyond to help me customize my bowl, ensuring that every ingredient was just right to create the perfect blend of flavors. The ambiance of the restaurant was strikingly modern, with sleek decor that exuded a contemporary charm. The addition of lush green plants scattered throughout the space added a welcoming and inviting atmosphere, making it a delightful place to dine. Now, let's talk about the food – it was simply outstanding! Each ingredient looked impeccably fresh and vibrant, and the presentation was so enticing that it sparked my appetite instantly. And let's not forget about the delightful addition of a small bowl of miso soup, which perfectly complemented the meal.Despite the high quality and deliciousness of the food, I was pleasantly surprised by the affordability of the meal. With the total cost coming to around $12, it was not only a satisfying experience but also a great value for money. As if that wasn't enough, I was thrilled to receive a reward card that offered me a free meal after collecting 10 stamps. It's gestures like these that truly demonstrate Drop the Dop's commitment to customer satisfaction and loyalty. In summary, my time at Drop the Dop was nothing short of exceptional. From the friendly staff to the modern ambiance, delectable food, and enticing rewards program, it's safe to say that I'll be returning again and again for more culinary delights!Dietary restrictions: They have gluten free option.“
“Absolutely delicious, high-quality, fresh, and marinated meats!!! The side dishes are plentiful, fresh, and flavorful. The pork belly and galbi beef were tender, juicy, and melt in your mouth delicious. I can't find the words to express how delicious the pork dishes were. The service was fast, friendly, and personable. The restaurant was clean orderly, and my group left happy, full, and satisfied. If you are looking for a KBBQ restaurant to try, pick 336 each and every time.“
“Impeccable. Fantastic. Bussin'.You haven't had fried chicken like the Korean Fried Chicken served here. It definitely rivals American Southern Style. The food is so good we ordered some to go right after our meal. A great choice for Sunday night football or a guys night in gaming. Ladies, I don't know what y'all do.I got the Red Hot Pepper Chicken. The heat slowly builds while you chew, but is mellowed by a light sweetness at the beginning of every bite, making you want more.My girl got the Lemon Green Onion. The touch of citrus went really well with the mellow sweetness of the sauce leaving an almost fresh taste to a fried dish.Caring, enthusiastic and energetic Owner followed by kind and attentive wait staff.Seriously, homie is all over the place (in a good way). Behind the counter and at the table face to face; his interaction with us was comical and heartwarming. He went through the whole menu (large selection) and explained the varieties of fried chicken, recommended sauces, and alternative dishes if chicken ain't for you, nerds.Vegetarian options: I think it's hilarious to recommend a fried chicken restaurant to vegetarians. So yes, please come here. There are some options for y'all but not a lot. Mostly potato related items, cheese dishes if your diet allows it and Korean pancakes (savory). Seafood?Sincerely, good luck.Parking: It's a ducking mall dude. There is plenty of parking. To be closest, go off of Hawthorn Ctr. Northern side of mall.Google maps itKid-friendliness: Very understanding and patient staff to otherwise undeserving patrons.Cute kid running around, wrong place to do it though. Unbothered parents, specifically an entitled mom who says "oh, he's fine" until he slips and bust his head or breaks the expensive ? service robot they have. This lady had the huevos ? to give the dude attitude when he points out the kid chasing down Mr. Roboto and then is at the shop exit. She said "maybe we'll just leave" ?Bro, this is not "your village", it's a fried chicken chateau ?, raise your damn kids.Wheelchair accessibility: Yurrr. Y'all can roll up easy once inside. They can move some chairs aside. I got no smoke for y'all, I don't wanna get cancelled. But we can all agree we don't like vegetarians.I'm just kidding, grazers.“
“Great place and great drinks and food! For any other wheelchair users thinking of going: Bathrooms are not wheelchair accessible though so I’m not sure why it was listed that it was.Wheelchair accessibility: Bathrooms were labeled as wheelchair accessible on google so I just assumed they were. Had a good time and the staff helped as much as they could but just wanted to let people know!“
“My friends and I went a few days ago and was pleasantly surprised. We ordered kimbap, tteokbokki, and spicy ramen and everything was absolutely delicious. The server and owner were so kind and attentive. We are planning to visit again. Give this place a try!“
“Best experience with food, service, and catching up with your loved ones (friends/family) and wasn't rushed to be kicked out. I think theres a timer, but like I said, they let us enjoy our atmosphere and keep bringing the food without us saying. Great service team, they were all on it as if they were our older relative who we hadn't seen in years and kept us happy by bringing dish after dish. I'm definitely coming back more often now that I discovered this spot. I wish I had known this place.“
“Give this place a try when we are around the area. There are many kinds of flavors for us to choose. Since we have kid with us, we decided to try the non-spicy ones. We ordered Honey mustard, original, soy, chili and honey wings. They are crispy and delicious. Foods tasted delicious. Super fast and great customer service. Highly recommend!“
“We usually frequent another family-style Korean restaurant in Schaumburg - which we've loved over the years! Wanted to try something new for a change.Ambience is very cozy - booths (instead of an open space) with traditional touches!Food is DELICIOUS - let's get that out of the way! Some observations:* Salad/sides - tasty, free refills, 5 choices* Bulgogi and pork dish - lots of veggies used as fillers. My kids are 'carnivores' and as such don't eat any veggies. They see meat and attack! The amount of meat we get in each plate is very less.* They should have an option without veggies. We ended up buying 4 plates of bulgogi and 2 plates of pork - just for 3 adults and 2 young kids. One of them had miso soup and I had the bibimbap! Price is reasonable but with volume of less meat, it adds up.* They don't have individual miso soup bowls for kids. It's a large bowl with greens already in it. My kids HATE greens.* Wish there was a easy way to call the waiters/waitresses - no call button and with only 1 person speaking in English, you are at the mercy of that person crossing you or the other waiters passing the message! This also impacts how quickly they could bring things. For ex. we asked for the lettuce and miso paste at the beginning but got it towards the end!* Dessert was a nice suprising touch and we all loved it!Will definitely go back there...now that I know their menu and system better.“
“Ate there for the first time tonight. I am vegan and my husband is an Omni. Chef Bill came out and waited on us personally, and gave us menu recommendations, all of which were delicious! The ambiance was so relaxing and peaceful; it was a nice respite from a busy day and I didn’t want to leave. Reasonably priced as well: shared appetizer, two teas, two entrees, and two desserts was $60. Will definitely be back for many more dinners!“
“I was hesitant to start writing, since I wanted to keep the place all to myself! But this would not be fair, so here goes my review. First, consider my vocabulary of superlatives to be already exhausted by previous reviewers. Second, these are the facts: we ate there twice in one week: we had a dinner and then immediately scheduled an omakase. Both time it was a life-changing experience. I kid you not! The sushi dinner was probably the best I ever had this side of the Pacific and this deep inland. In a 'regular' sushi place all sushis taste, well, like the defrosted raw fish with soy sauce. Not chef's Jino's! Each piece was different, complex, and exciting. The omakase performance was on par with a multi-Michelin-star restaurant I've ever been to with the difference being the absence of the usual hits or misses - hits only, be it a souffle, or sashimi, or filet. The host and waiter Danny was helpful and knowledgeable. And the place itself was pretty close to my ideal of a modern upscale restaurant - sleek, contemporary, and yet cosy. To the detriment of my convenience, I can only wish the place to have a month-long waiting list soon enough!“
“We stopped in one afternoon to Harmony Coffee Bar. You know what harmony is ? A combination of things or parts that forms a connected and unified whole. That just about sums up our visit to this adorable cafe. I ordered the Gold Crush Latte which is topped with Dalgona which melted into the latte giving it a slightly sweet and mellow flavor. My companion ordered an iced Gold Crush Latte so they could enjoy the Dalgona as it slowly released its sugary cookie flavor into the coffee beverage. As we savored our drinks in the pleasant and cozy seating, they prepared our Croffle, a combination of croissant and waffle, and it was crispy and buttery and caramelly. All in all, a harmonious mix of flavors and textures that added up to a very pleasant midday interlude.“
“I recently had the pleasure of dining at one of the city’s hidden gems – Tang Korean. This establishment offers a unique blend of authentic Korean flavors, warm hospitality, and an ambiance that transports you straight to the streets of Seoul.Upon entering, I was immediately greeted by a staff that exudes friendliness and professionalism. The server, with a genuine smile, guided us through the menu, offering recommendations tailored to our tastes and dietary preferences. The highlight of our meal was undoubtedly the food. From the perfectly seasoned bulgogi to the flavorful and crispy kimchi pancake, each dish was a testament to the chef’s mastery of traditional Korean cooking. In a city brimming with Korean options, this Korean restaurant stands out not just for its authentic and delicious food but for its commitment to creating an unforgettable dining experience through outstanding service. Whether you’re a connoisseur of Korean cuisine or eager to explore new flavors, this restaurant promises a meal that will delight your taste buds and leave you eagerly planning your next visit.“
“I had the beef bulgogi and it was great. The meat itself was tasty and it was a good combination of fresh ingredients like salad, soy beans and things. Felt healthy and very satisfying at the same time. The curly fries were great, too, but I’m sure they were not healthy! Prices seem very fair for the quality of the food and preparation.“
“Food was great. Traditional Korean food. (Pot stickers was not that great. Very thin)The place itself is very small and they have packed way too many chairs into this place. No elbow space. They would only seat you if your entire party is there. We were 5. But there isn't really a place for us to wait without being right on top of some other diners tables. A bit awkward.“
“Kong Dog is a unique take on a hot dog and very creative. We had the Cheetos and Potatoes half and half dog. Both were fresh, tasted good and had incredible cheese pull from the cheese portion. It is certainly a speciality kind of a place rather than a quick stop in for a "regular" meal however.“
“My daughter wanted an ice cream so we ran in, she played the clawGame and didn’t win, no worries, better luck next time- as we turned around the gentleman had a prize waiting for her anyways. A small act that made our day. Thank you for the hospitality! Looking forward to ordering next week as well! :)“
“My best, all-time favorite and go-to Korean BBQ ever throughout many years!! Could never express how much I love the food and the service here. Up until now, no place can match the marinated galbi they have here, as long as their kimchi soup. Highly recommended!!“
“I never had Korean barbecue before. I was skeptical. Wow! 6+ stars. All the ingredients were fantastic. Flavors I’ve never had before. I highly recommend anything that says beef. John was the best waiter I have had in a long long, long time.??????Thumbs up“
“the owner jun is so nice, helpful, and funny! it's a great bar to socialize as well as eat and drink. i would come here every day if i could!i got the bulgogi burger and it was delicious- just a heads up if you do get it, it's not a typical 'burger' patty, it's literally bulgogi- but it's so flavorful and unique it's such a good item to try! the fried egg was so good on it...another good item is the bulgogi tacos they come with kimchi on them (so good)also the drinks are strong! i suggest getting the green apple soju (yum)TLDR; come to BDG, not just to drink and socialize, but also to try the delicious food!Vegetarian options: burger made with portabello mushrooms, veggie soup, etc“
“Do yourself a favor and grab some friends for karaoke and Korean food at AGIT. A group of us went on a Saturday night and we had a karaoke room for 2hrs. Depending on the size of your group they may add a few chairs in so everyone can fit. Once you're in your room you can start with the karaoke session and in the corner of the TV tells you how much time you have left of your session. They also have instructions on the wall for how to use the remote to choose songs and how to use the control. You can press a button and a staff member will come and wait on you. We ordered a handful of stuff to share family style. We had the bulgogi, fried chicken, seafood pancake, tteokbokk. There was plenty of food to go around and everything I ate was enjoyable. It was so much fun being in a private room and eating delicious food. I wish they would have had plates instead of the paper boats because you can't fit much in the boat and maybe some serving untensils for the dishes. But minor things I could look past. They are located in a strip mall so there is plenty of parking avaliable.“
“It's the most delicious food I've had on a business trip to the US. The galbitang is more delicious than any galbitang restaurant in Korea. These days, there are no such large and delicious king dumplings even in Korea. I travel to many cities in the U.S. on business trips, but I always worry about food when I come to Chicago, and now I've finally found a good restaurant.“
“Ordered in for lunch! The first time, I had a Bibimbap bowl, and it was delicious! The second time, we ordered two ramen bowls. I would say when it comes to ramen, stick with downtown Chicago. The egg was not marinated, just a cooked egg, not a variety of veggies, and the noodles are generic store noodles. For the pork belly you receive about 4, 1 inch pieces of grey meat. No char, crunch, or savory meat.“
“Long overdue review of THE best korean bbq in all of Chicago. Pretty much everything is good but the galbi and spicy pork are the best of the bunch. I make a trip down from the city at least once every two weeks for the food here. Aside from the food, the service is also great, with everyone very welcoming whenever we go. Went again today. Will probably go again next week.“
“During many of my reviews, I left my camera bag on the restaurant floor because I didn't want to disrupt their business by pulling up a chair for another table. However, the server here gave me an extra chair and took care of my camera bag. I've never experienced such hospitality in a restaurant before. And when I needed something, all I had to do was raise my hand, and the server would come over to me. -Seafood Jjampong Stew: It was really good. However, I wish they had more seafood. -Oden Soup: it was on the house. Even my daughter, a picky eater, said it was excellent. My personal opinion is that the service was top notch and the flavors were good enough to give this place a 5 star review. If you're a fan of Korean food, this is a must-visit on your next trip to Chicago.“
“Lisa was great! She was taking all of the orders AND cooking all of the food too! The food was amazing and she even brought out some special bbq skewers that she made! Our first time there she made it so good, and we can’t wait to come eat there again! Thank you for great day!“
“Great food very fresh and plenty of protein!I've had beef and chicken bulgogi Only bad side no banchan sides at allHad to order a small side of Kimchi for $3 .. considering the plates are $15 or $16 it should be included otherwise everything else is great, have been here 3 times now during my lunch time“
“I have tried a few things here but my go to is the Dolsot Bibimbap, always great and satisfying. The side dishes are always to my liking, they vary from visit to visit, and that is ok with me. Prices have come up but are reasonable. I am often the only or one of the few customers who does not speak Korean there. It is not a fancy restaurant so prepare your expectations for a more relaxed, casual, almost street food style, dining experience.“
“Sooo fantastic! I asked for wonton soup..Korean wings & spring rolls. I'll say that I will be a FOREVER customer now..the wings were the BEST I've ever had,so crunchy and the seasoning was spot on~the flavor was mmmmMMmm also ,the soup tasted like it was JUST made.. i was really happy when i saw that i was given rice as well! ..most importantly for me, this food was REALLY clean and by that I mean -ingredients that were selected & prepared with intent..no "after taste" no grease..just delicious homemade honest food! Thank you!Parking: Wouldn't ever be an issue“
“This is a decent and authentic Korean restaurant in Katy. The food quality is fairly high. I tried stone pot spicy squid bibimbap and spicy pork soup for lunch. The former is superb and very delicious. The squid tastes fresh. Highly recommended. The second meal is less impressive. The pork is tough to chew and a bit tasteless. The soup also tastes too watery and lacks a rich flavour.Almost all customers are Koreans. Perhaps for this reason the waitress also assumes that I am a Korean. Funny that when she found out that I don’t speak Korean she immediately held back her smile. This does not seem like a great service.“
“Searching for an authentic Mongolian restaurant in Illinois felt like uncovering a rare treasure, and we hit the jackpot with this place! The staff was incredibly friendly, creating a warm atmosphere, and the food was beyond delicious. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the bento box—a perfect blend of flavors. If you crave genuine Mongolian cuisine, this is the place to be! Highly recommend it for a delightful dining experience.“
“Really delicious food, and plenty of it! I ordered the goat soup, which is a big bowl of soup to begin with, and it came with rice, kimchi, and a turnip(?). I was not a fan of the turnip, but the kimchi was delicious, and I really liked the rice and soup together. The vibe here is very much that of a food court inside a mall, because that's what it is. There are mall noises, at least two different kinds of music playing from different directions, shoppers walking by. You order, get your food at counter, and bring your tray back to the same counter when you're finished. The cashier at the counter is friendly and polite. Get the goat soup! You'll be glad you did!“
“Manooben is a gem of a Japanese spot, with its cozy house-like ambiance and welcoming atmosphere. I indulged in their scrumptious udon, which was delightfully light and not too overpowering, along with their crispy tempura. The experience was made even better by the kind and attentive service from the lady who took care of me. Highly recommend this place for a solo dining experience that feels like home.“
“I had a great time at this CM Chicken location. The service was excellent and the food was really good. The fries were nice and crispy with a good amount of salt. The fried chicken was really good 10/10. The playlist in the background was really good too. It really brought me back to the mid 2000s. Above all I was very satisfied with the customer service. Very kind staff and accommodating.“
“H I wanted to try Korean cheese dog for the first time, but the egg toast looked delicious so I half-heartedly gave it a try.The store staff is kind and speaks good Japanese, which is refreshing. The toast itself was delicious, the eggs were fluffy, and there were a variety of sauces to choose from.“
“This place has delicious food. The workers are all incredibly pleasant and make sure your experience is top tier. I've come here on multiple occasions with my friend and we both can agree the food and service have been amazing every single time.“
“Ordered off grub hub, I’ve always wanted to try Korean tofu stew but have been worried I couldn’t handle the spice, they let you pick the level and have a super mild offering so ordered it and wow!! This was amazing!! It was still rather spicy (I got the kimchi tofu option with pork) but was manageable for a wimp like me and so so so rich and flavorful. I kept eating it long after I was full because it was so good!!! Will be coming back absolutely (also the marinated cucumbers that came on the side were delightful)“
“Yeolmu Guksi is really delicious, pork cutlet, ugly tteokbokki (a lot of tempura), ramen, and gimbap are all delicious.Yeolmu Guksi/Kimchi noodles and pork cutlet are delicious. The best. You take pride in your radish kimchi, and you make all the side dishes yourself, so it's delicious❤️❤️“
“Came here for another corn dog. My wife and really Luke the original kong dog with half beef and half cheese, so we got 4 of them. The corn dogs are good, I just wished the stick wasn't so long. Every time you take your first bite, you will bite into the stick. Otherwise, everything is good here.“
“This place was so good! And the lady that helped us was SO sweet. Even though she didn’t speak a lot of English, she was still able to communicate easily to us. Skills! Not once did I see her stop working. If she’s not servicing clients, she’s cleaning. We got the Ox soup and fried fish. 10/10Very calm environment. The ceiling is cute.“
“This is the best CM location thus far. Service is wonderful and despite being in a busier area, the prices are relatively similar. Food quality is amazing. I want to dedicate this review to Cordell and Sarah as a thank you for being so welcoming and always taking care of me. You guys made up for the service that the Glenview location lacks so drastically as of recent times. Sarah, thank you again. I will be back, possibly even today!!“
“We took out beef short rib and pork cutlet bento. The short rib was chewy and tender and the cultet was very crispy and juicy. Every dish came with bento was so good. Also, the owner was kind and friendly. We will definitely revisit next time!“
“I can't believe it took me this long to finally try Tareore. I missed out on all these years going to H-Mart and not stopping by to get their fried chicken. Mianhaeyo... Now when the family wants fried chicken, this is the first place that comes to mind. You get build in flavor, crunch, crispy, meaty, moist, succulent and much more going on with the palate that it is a circus of happiness in every bite... We have eaten there and brought it home, both times are good.“
“I really like this restaurant. I don't know why because I can't particularly say the food is the best Korean food or that they have the best service or anything but something about it is just really nice if you want a humble Korean meal. The price is pretty reasonable for the food you're getting and there has never been anything I didn't like. The service is just okay. It's typical Korean service, sometime they're nice, sometimes they're not. But they were really understanding when we went with a bunch of babies that were loud and messy. My go to dish is the soojaebi, which I don't like paying for since I make a really good version at home very easily, but I feel like something about this place is just worth it. Definitely a place worth checking out if you like Korean food but don't like making it yourself.“
“The food is a great the service is very attentive. I regularly attend for lunch and the food is always fresh and absolutely delicious. You will not leave there hungry and their flavoring and spices are incredibly tasty. This has turned into a weekly staple for me and always coming back“
“Korean Spoon is low key excellent! It is a small hole in the wall in a small strip, and while their business is largely catering, they do offer dine-in (Tue-Fri: 11am-2pm). There are also prepared side dishes and foods, like various kimbab and Korean pancakes you can pick up and go. There are traditional soups/stews and Korean entrees/snacks offered. The yukgaejang and kalguksu are very good. While most other Korean restaurants in the area have raised prices and cut back on protein/portions, Korean Spoon continues to offer quality food at comparable prices. The owner is very kind and courteous. Really great place for down to earth homestyle Korean cooking and wish they had more dine-in hours. Check them out!“
“So this place is an amazing "Pocha" experience! Great social drinking vibe with amazing food. Note that the wait can be 40mins+ and it can get very packed. Now although you might wait a bit, which should give you enough time to have an order in mine, the food comes out super fast once placed. Probably took only 10mins for the food to start coming out.Highly highly recommend the Tofu Kimchi (which comes with pork belly), Spicy BBQ pork belly w/mozzarella, and the Rose Tteok bok ki.Definitely what we were looking for and they also have karaoke which we might come back to try.“
