Chungkiwa Restaurant is a cozy spot serving authentic and delicious Korean cuisine. The staff is super friendly and attentive, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The ambiance is traditional, with tables separated for privacy, and booths instead of an open space. The menu offers a variety of options, including the popular dolsot bibimbap, BBQ, and fried egg shrimp appetizer. The BBQ selection includes beef tongue and Berkshire pork belly, and customers have enjoyed the meat and seafood combo, which features steak, chicken, shrimp, and squid. The side dish options are somewhat limited, and many customers have expressed a desire for more variety, such as Korean potato salad. However, the food is well-seasoned, and the portion sizes are generous. The restaurant also surprises guests with complimentary ice cream bars at the end of the meal.
Chungkiwa Restaurant is praised for the incredible dining experience it provides. The staff is attentive and ensures that customers feel accommodated without being intrusive. The quality of the food, especially the traditional Korean barbecue, stands out as one of the best among many KBBQ spots. The interior is described as cool and traditional, enhancing the overall experience. Despite the restaurant getting a bit smokey at times, customers have raved about the amazing food and service, making Chungkiwa Restaurant a great choice for those seeking authentic Korean cuisine.
