“We had a wonderful dinner at Prairie Grass Cafe. The spring rolls were loaded with delicious perfectly cooked shrimp and the accompanying sauce (sweet chili with garlic and cilantro) plays nicely with them. The flounder with roasted carrots and parsnip-potato purée was as delicious as it looks. It was generously portioned and beautifully plated. We also enjoyed the mussels with parsley, shallots, and breadcrumbs pasta. My husband is Sicilian and it reminded us of the pasta con le sarde that we love to have in Sicily. The mussels were plump and delicious. The wine list is very nice. We found wines we really enjoyed and they were reasonably priced. We enjoyed the Attems, Pinot Grigio, Friuli, Italy ‘22 with our mussels and flounder, and the Fritz Haag, Riesling, Germany ‘21 with our pumpkin pie for dessert. Service was perfect.“

“I would go here again and again. Food quality is excellent. What can I say about NICK the manager. Outstanding manager. He listens to customer. Make sure we leave place very happy. If you complain about food, he will replace immediately without any questions asked. He makes sure that all the customers are very happy. We order a corn soup, my wife thought it was not spiced up enough. She asked waiter to spiced up. Manager came and told her that this is the way it comes and cannot spice up. He replaced her with another type of soup and did not even charge us for that. Great place to go for diner with family and friends.“

“We have discovered this place 3 years ago when we are searching for an outdoor casual dining. What we found was a great place that had outdoor seating on a deck patio with umbrellas and a TV set to watch sporting events. The service was friendly, and the food was great. The drinks were very reasonable. The menu was large having everything from sandwiches to dinners. We never had a bad experience there and brought family and friends to enjoy the evening sitting outside. We always come back.“

The food is exceptionally clean and well-balanced, made with high-quality ingredients and thoughtful seasoning. Nothing feels rushed or overly processed the flavors are subtle, honest, and comforting.

What impressed me most was that my in-laws, who recently came from Korea, said this place was better than many well-known restaurants back home. During their few weeks in the U.S., they liked it so much that we came back multiple times.

If you prefer bold, heavy, or highly seasoned flavors, this might feel a bit mild especially for younger diners who enjoy stronger tastes. But if you appreciate carefully prepared, wholesome food made with sincerity, this is absolutely a place worth visiting.

“One of many pizza joints that I made a list of wanting to try at least 2 years prior but I finally made it in this past March and was quite pleased with the quality of food here.

We just got done roaming around Northbrook Court and our typical outing when I'm off work is dinner away from the mall then dessert for the boys.

The food overall is pretty good here and obviously the pizza is the highlight, we went with NY style XL pizza and we liked it. The menu overall has some familiar Italian bites at reasonable prices.

Good food, clean dining area and friendly service in a cozy setting, would definitely return if ever in the area. We live pretty far north in Beach Park in northeastern Lake Co but a high number of wknds we usually end up somewhere in northern Cook Co.

I had an amazing experience at Los Huaraches! The food was absolutely delicious—everything tasted fresh, authentic, and full of flavor. The tacos and huaraches were perfectly made, and the portions were generous for the price. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the staff were super friendly and attentive. You can tell they really care about their customers and the quality of their food. Definitely one of my go-to spots now—highly recommend checking it out!“

“My daughter had her wedding at this venue on 8/4/25. From the point of discussing the space, to reviewing the contract, to discussing options, to answering ALL of our questions, to the tasting, to the day of, our event coordinator (not sure that's her specific title) Amanda was nothing short of stellar. She was patient, thorough, and accommodating ensuring that my daughter was comfortable in a very important time of her life. Our event captain (again not sure of her title) Kylie also was amazing -- handling each of our requests quickly and pleasantly. These two ladies are an asset to your company & should be commended for their fantastic work ethic. All the event staff from the bartenders, to servers, to bus boys were pleasant and efficient. The food was delicious as well. Our event was amazing & memorable largely due to the associates we interacted with.“

“My friend a d I ordered a 40 oz porterhouse steak to share. It was excellent and plus. Our waiter was very attentive and addressed all out requests. The price was high as it was Ruth's Chris. The only knot I had was the price on the wine. My merlot was nice. Since I buy these bottles for myself at home,just thought the mark- up was a bit on the high side.“

“First of all, I hope this restaurant stays in Chicago for a long time. I tried the braised cutlassfish, and it was incredibly delicious. I never thought I would find such tasty cutlassfish in Chicago. Having lived near the ocean in Korea before moving to this landlocked city, I've had a hard time finding food that reminds me of home. But I think I've finally found the right place. May this restaurant prosper for a long time??

First of all, I hope this house stays in Chicago for a long time!! I had braised cutlassfish and salted fish, and the braised cutlassfish was particularly delicious. The altang was delicious too! I never expected to eat such delicious cutlassfish in Chicago... Thank you so much! I used to live near the ocean in Korea, but when I moved to Chicago, which is on the mainland, I had a hard time because the food didn't suit my taste, but I think I've finally found the right home.
