“Not only is the food great but the wonderful gentleman who was my server was amazing!Lets start off my reviewing the lunch entree I got. I ordered the chef recommendation which comes with tandoori chicken, buttered chicken, and lamb (I don't know what type of curry).I asked for a spice of medium to spicy mix. Ask and you shall receive! The spice level was perfect. I wanted heat but not so much that I don't taste the food.The buttered chicken is buttered chicken. I call this the gateway food of Indian food. It's simple. Nothing that I personally would ever rave over but was yummy. Now moving on to the lamb. Oh. My. Lanta. Cooked deliciously. The curry that it came in was also tasty. Tandoori chicken came out sizzling and was seasoned perfectly with the right amount of crisp. Tender and soft as well. Lunch came with Naan which was fluffy and it looked like it was baked fresh. Definitely not the typical flat store bought Naan. Chutney was also provided when I was seated. I ordered the mango Lassi and as you would expect it was standard and good.Lets quickly talk about service. I came in with luggage (just came from the airport) and they held the door open for me. So kind! I was seated at the perfect seat where I could toss my luggage to the side and out of the way. I asked for a box and the check (server could tell I was still picking and eating) and he said "I'll bring the check later, no need to rush". What a man! So sweet and kind. I came during non-rush hours (after 2pm) and I felt like I wasn't a bother at all and very welcomed. I appreciated the small talk here and there too as a solo diner!Definitely check this place out! They also have a fully stocked bar but I didn't order a drink.“

“I was always resistant to trying bar food but my son loves going there with his friends so, I had to give it a try and to my surprise, the food was absolutely amazing. I used to only order the sample platter, steak sandwich and chicken wings but last night I tried their steak fajitas and it was surprisingly spectacular. Their margarita didn't taste as authentic as the food made by authentic Mexicans. However the manager was kind enough to offer me an amazing old fashioned and the bartender nailed it making my experience even more special. I'm not a fan of dive bars but they make you feel very welcome definitely turning into one of my regular places to go!“

“this is my first Yelp review, I just had to say some good words about this place. my friends and I came in after a long day around 8:20 and the man at the counter was very nice, he said if our food comes out late we can stay like 10 minutes after they close. we left before they closed at 9 since the food came out quickly but his gesture was very kind, and the food was delicious. wonderful vibe and polite staff, I felt very welcomed. thank you so much for your kindness :)“

“Manna is comfort food at its peak. My bf and I found this restaurant when we were exploring the burbs and it left us happy all day long. Service: - Service was super quick and all the aunties were so sweet. They were really attentive throughout the entire time that we were there. - We really really loved the side dishes and we were so nervous to ask for more but they gave us extra because they saw how much we liked it. And as starving college students, that means the whole world. Food: - We got their Gamjatang (Spicy Pork Bone Soup) for both of us and honestly, the serving was more than enough. We didn't expect to both feel full but there was so much meat in combination with the veggies and rice and we were both beyond satisfied. - Broth was really rich and there was such a deep flavor with every bite. We drank the entire thing until there was nothing left. - Side dishes were not just sides in this meal. I loved that there was such a large variety of options that were offered. Our favorites were the pickled seaweeds (I swear its the best that I have ever had) and the Kimchi radish. Ambiance: - This spot is tucked away in the suburbs and it feels just like that. The interior is designed as if you were in your grandmother's home. While we were there, we saw a group of dads, uncles, and grandpas just gathering to have a meal. And it was just so heartwarming to see and this spot is the perfect spot for family and friends gathering. I wish I lived closer because I would definitely be a regular.“

“Danielle was the most wonderful server ever. She made me feel so special for my birthday dinner with friends - the table was decorated, she came by often to check on us, gave us great recommendations on the food and drinks. My friend and I each ordered the prix fixe menu and it should have ended with a dessert for each of us. Danielle brought out a wonderful birthday cheesecake dessert with a candle in it for me, but my friend never got her dessert. When I had asked about it I think she may have forgotten that we had gotten the meal set and in the end never returned. With such the great experience we just let it go, but it would have been nice to get that dessert for my friend.“

Definitely overpaid for the amount of seafood provided in the dish. Restaurant is mostly set up for take out. They do have a couple of high top tables, but I did not see restrooms in the establishment.“

“My wife and I have been dining at this local favorite Italian spot for years, and its claim to fame may be its consistency. The menu is not large (which can be a good feature), and the dishes are freshly made and flavorful. Tonight we enjoyed Fettuccine Oliverii (with chicken and broccoli) and Penne Puttanesca. Our server and bus person were both attentive and well trained (they have worked there for years and it shows in a positive way).I wish my penne dish had actual anchovies in it, as the menu described it, but the capers and black olives added a good flavor.As usual on a Friday night, the small dining room (16 tables) was busy and the ambient sound was loud but not unpleasant. “Since we found Marisa's Pizza on Yelp about a year ago, it has become our go-to place for pizzas! It is located in a strip mall with abundant parking spaces, and the location is very convenient for us. Our favorite is their New York Style Thin Crust Cheese Pizza that you can create your own by adding different toppings at extra costs. We have been picking mushroom and sausage lately, which are so tasty without being too salty. I especially like the crunchy crust! There are 21 ingredients to choose from, that you can easily make so many different combinations. Ordering online is so easy and you get 5% off! For each ingredient you can specify left half, right half, or whole just by clicking on the diagrams, it cannot be easier or clearer than that! They come in 12", 14", 16", and 18" sizes. We usually ordered the 14" which is a medium, and enough for 2 to 3 people. Marisa's has a wide variety of foods on their menu. Other than pizzas, they also offer soups and salads, pastas and sandwiches, and more. I had enjoyed their tiramisu, which was creamy and delicious! They are usually very accurate with their estimated time for pickup. The normal wait time is 15-30 minutes from ordering to pick up. Yesterday I volunteered to go to pick up our pizza on my way home from somewhere. They sent me a text for the estimated time. When I arrived at their parking lot, I noticed that they had sent a second text with a re-estimated later time, pushing back by 20 minutes. I went in anyway. The man politely told me that it would be another 15 minutes. I decided to just wait. The place was big, bright, nice and clean, very toasty though. There were decorations with sports theme. Although I am not a football fan, a wall TV with the Super Bowl on was a nice touch. When I was waiting, the same staff kindly offered me something to drink, and then he offered me condiments such as red peppers or extra cheese to take home, and I politely thanked him for his thoughtfulness but declined the offers. I appreciated his hospitality. It was Super Bowl night and they were so busy, I can fully understand. Our pizza was ready in 15 minutes, the wait was pleasant. We enjoyed the tasty piping hot pizza while watching the halftime show that I wanted to watch, I was very content and happy! We will continue going to Marisa's Pizza for sure!“

“Generous portion sizes for 'pizza by the slice.' Surprisingly, the meat lovers was not my favorite - the bacon parts are too much. Sausage bits are too tiny to be crispy; It's just hard. I don't recommend the plain cheese. The small pizza thin crust was perfect! I also liked the mozzarella sticks and french fries. They aren't seasoned but there's definitely a soft coating.“

“Thought I was going to my favorite burger joint Meatheads and was surprised to discover Epic burger in its place. Although the burger was great, the fries were very disappointing. .In my judgement the fresh cut fries meathead served were far better than the lightly batter ones they’re serving now. I detest battered fries and pray they go back to fresh cut non battered fries like Meathead servedVery disappointing as Meatheads fresh cut fries were far superior. “If there was an option for 6 stars I would give that for many reasons! First and foremost, they were great with allergies (dairy, egg, and gluten). The service was fast, food was AMAZING, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was pretty awesome. Someone previously said she was intimidated by the lizard paintings but I loved them, lol. “A wonderful place to dine special occasion or for lunch or dinner . The food is exquisite everything was amazing! We ordered from the supper club menu so many wonderful options to choose from for each course. This was my second time and for celebrating my mom's birthday. This is a true gem and will be dinning more often. The waitstaff is wonderful as well. A perfect place to dine!“

“We had an excellent meal of soft shelled crab along with sushi and sashimi platters. The fish was fresh, the texture perfect, the variety of sashimi was very good. The only think missing was the daikon, they use cucumber in its place. Crab was very tasty. The restaurant is a small, cozy place. I'd go back or recommend without hesitation.“

After walking in and confirming that they were open and ready for business, I was thrown back to see how spacious, clean, and very nice the inside of the restaurant looked. I order chicken tenders, Italian beef, and curly fries. I was shocked to see the size of these chicken tenders. I asked for the beef to be hot and dipped. They provided me with the hot peppers and 2 containers with the juice to dip my beef in. WOW!!!!!!! I LOVED IT. It just sad that I live so far south. So I may just move to Northbrook just to be close to this spot. Very friend, great food, and decent prices.“
