“These folks definitely know how to make amazing fries 🍟🔥 Not only do they have a perfect golden color, but they also stay impressively crispy even after sitting for about 10–15 minutes while I was out in the cold ❄️👌 That crunch didn’t fade at all, which really says a lot about the quality. On top of that, they were seasoned just right, adding even more flavor to every bite 😋 It’s clear they put real care into getting their fries just perfect!“

If you don't like your food too spicy, they will also adjust it to your liking. Very cute spot. Wonderful for date night.“

“Had a phenomenal, five-star experience with Ron of Japan in Northbrook, along with my wife and 10-month old son. The food was exquisite, and it kept coming and coming, I couldn't have asked for more. The staff was attentive, courteous, and excellent in delivering a fantastic dining experience. The chef -- top notch.

To make the experience even more memorable for us was the addition of complimentary noodles that my son was able to eat for the first time. He was a huge fan!

“Bluegrass Restaurant is a wonderful, family-owned restaurant. We have been ordering takeout and eating in since we came to Highland Park three years ago. The owners take pride in managing the restaurant on a daily basis. They prioritize customer service, great food, and a warm, welcoming experience. Last night, they hosted the Highland Park/Highwood Professional Moms group. We had only expected 15 women to attend, but 25 women ended up coming. The owners and the staff were AMAZING. They brought over additional chairs. They provided us with top-notch service, including separate checks. They respected us when we were speaking to the group and quietly took orders in the background. I can't say enough nice things about this restaurant.“

Boba and fruit smoothies and milk tea are so good. i got mango nature smoothies. brown sugar milk tea and coconut milk tea. oh my god. And there’s a big sofa is like heaven. “We were so excited to have found this new place for yummy sushi poke bowl! We adore that modernized look of the restaurant and there are a lot of variety of poke bowls to choose from. My boys like the mushroom and California rolls sushi while I enjoyed the spicy hot fish poke bowl a lot. The staff and owner were super friendly and nice. The place was stylish, neat and clean. The sashimi was fresh and delicious! The food was served fast and the price was reasonable too. We are definitely coming back!“

“The food is delicious here and the people who work here are even better. I was eating in yesterday and there was a man who came inside who I believe was asking for work- he was washing windows. The owner or manager said they have a company that does it. So he could not give him the business. The man appeared to be a little unkept and possibly struggling. The owner asked if he was hungry and the man replied yes, he ended up making him fresh food and he left with a bag of food and some water. This interaction was so special and I truly hope their kindness is delivered back to them indefinitely. “Ate there for the first time tonight. I am vegan and my husband is an Omni. Chef Bill came out and waited on us personally, and gave us menu recommendations, all of which were delicious! The ambiance was so relaxing and peaceful; it was a nice respite from a busy day and I didn’t want to leave. Reasonably priced as well: shared appetizer, two teas, two entrees, and two desserts was $60. Will definitely be back for many more dinners!“

“What a great meal and service at Pasta D'Arte Trattoria Italiana!

To start, the drinks were solid—a nicely balanced Manhattan on the rocks and generous pours on the wines by the glass. Our group of four shared the Caprese Salad and Caesar Salad, both excellent and plenty to go around.

For entrées, we enjoyed the Linguini Del Mare, Pumpkin Ravioli, Osso Buco, and Walleye Alla Piccata. Everyone loved their dishes! Note that the tomato-based sauces have a nice spicy kick from red pepper—we really enjoyed it, but if you prefer milder, I assume they can likely accommodate.

The attentive and knowledgeable service made the experience even better, guiding us through choices nicely. Free valet on a busy Saturday night was a plus as well, and the overall vibe was welcoming.

My only complaint: the place gets very noisy on a packed Saturday night, making conversation tough without raising your voice. It's that lively, bustling trattoria energy, though!
