“Had a phenomenal, five-star experience with Ron of Japan in Northbrook, along with my wife and 10-month old son. The food was exquisite, and it kept coming and coming, I couldn't have asked for more. The staff was attentive, courteous, and excellent in delivering a fantastic dining experience. The chef -- top notch.

To make the experience even more memorable for us was the addition of complimentary noodles that my son was able to eat for the first time. He was a huge fan!

“Bluegrass Restaurant is a wonderful, family-owned restaurant. We have been ordering takeout and eating in since we came to Highland Park three years ago. The owners take pride in managing the restaurant on a daily basis. They prioritize customer service, great food, and a warm, welcoming experience. Last night, they hosted the Highland Park/Highwood Professional Moms group. We had only expected 15 women to attend, but 25 women ended up coming. The owners and the staff were AMAZING. They brought over additional chairs. They provided us with top-notch service, including separate checks. They respected us when we were speaking to the group and quietly took orders in the background. I can't say enough nice things about this restaurant.“

My boys like the mushroom and California rolls sushi while I enjoyed the spicy hot fish poke bowl a lot. The staff and owner were super friendly and nice. The place was stylish, neat and clean. “I stopped by K Teriyaki in Niles and tried the Chicken Teriyaki lunch special. I placed my order at 11:46 and received it at 12:02, so the wait was pretty reasonable. They also have an online ordering option if you’re short on time.
As far as the food goes, I’d put it on the higher end of middle-of-the-road for me. It’s not the best teriyaki I’ve ever had, but it’s certainly not the worst. The chicken had a slight char, which I enjoyed, and the steamed vegetables—cabbage, broccoli, and carrots—were still crunchy rather than overcooked.

I also like that the teriyaki sauce comes on the side instead of the chicken being covered in it. You can add as much or as little as you want, which gives you more control over the calories and can be helpful for people with dietary restrictions.

It’s a family-friendly spot, too, with high chairs and booster seats available right by the door.

They have five lunch specials, and I’ve decided I’m going to work my way through all of them. The Chicken Teriyaki was a solid start and landed on the higher end of middle-of-the-road for me. I’m looking forward to trying the other four to see which one comes out on top.“

Quality is consistent and always tastes great. Very fresh and lots of healthy options that taste great! Cannot recommend this place enough.

“Went there with two former colleagues; we meet from time to time to catch up and solve world problems. It was the first time at Pasta d'Arte for each of us.

Food and service were marvelous, and I came away wishing the restaurant were closer to my near north home. I've not had better Italian cooking in Chicago, and we all thought Pasta d'Arte was a great discovery.

Only drawback, which disappeared as the night wore on and other folks finished and left, was the hard room surfaces which made conversation tough at times. But we left glad to have discovered a place with such good cooking and service.“

Service was lightning quick, atmosphere was very relaxing and welcoming, and the food was divine. It was my first time having Indian cuisine, and it did not disappoint one bit! I had the Butter Chicken and my date had the Cheese Dosa. Both came out hot and appetizing, and the Butter Chicken tasted amazing. 10/10, would absolutely eat here almost every day if I could.

“I love this restaurant!! Perfect place to go to sample many Polish favorites, or to have a group meal (shower, birthday party, family gathering etc.) in the semi-private back room. All the food is really fresh and well prepared, just like Grandma used to make at home. It Is a buffet, so there are many choices to please every taste level. Desserts are in small portions, which I find very thoughtful, so you can sample more than one item without over doing it. You can also prepare a to-go box of favorites to take home, for an additional 'per pound' charge. The wait staff is welcoming, kind and efficient as well. Adult beverages of cocktails, wine and beer are available, in addition to coffee, tea, milk, and sodas. I enjoy 6-7 visits per year, and am never disappointed.“
