“Stopped here for lunch one day when I was near NW and had a great experience. The food (ham and cheese sandwich) and cream of mushroom soup were excellent. Service was attentive and helpful. They have a great selection of wine and you can buy and consume with your meal. Will definitely be back!“

“Hubs and I came last night for an impromptu date night. The holiday décor was absolutely beautiful, you can tell a lot of effort and attention went into it. The staff were all super friendly and helpful! We arrived during the dinner rush, and given it’s the holiday season, I’m sure there’s an uptick in guests, but we were still seated within about 15–20 minutes, which was impressive. There is a one-hour dining limit during this season, I understand they’re turning tables quickly to accommodate everyone, especially having worked in the industry myself. However, I was really disappointed that every single item we ordered was cold. I don’t usually like to complain, so I didn’t mention it at the time, assuming it was just due to how busy the restaurant was. But after reading other reviews, it seems this may be a recurring issue, which is unfortunate. I’m not sure I would return, but on a positive note, the atmosphere was lovely and the staff were wonderful. Hopefully they can work with the kitchen to make sure the food is served hot, because everything else about the experience was great!“

“I “started” the subject that pertains to this transaction at the time, while the food was top tier, the services is what needs to shine. I placed an order for delivery, and when I looked at the app it said that the food was picked up. An hr or so had passed and I had not received my food. I made a call to the restaurant and the way that they appeased me was to remake my order and the owner himself brought me my food. That gesture went a long way for me, and I truly appreciated it.“

We had the schnitzel which was super crunchy and the sauce on the side was very flavorful. The patio in the back is so nice and spacious and the word burning oven inside really sets the vibe. “Celebrated my wife’s birthday here with three other families, as we were in Chicago between baseball tournaments. Not only was Coda di Volpe able to accommodate a same day reservation for a large party, but they went above and beyond, from personalizing menus with a birthday wish, to adding a special touch on dessert. With four teenage boys in tow, the menu provided ample carbs and comfort for them while we enjoyed a broad sample of the offerings - all were very happy with their meals! Cocktails and wine selection was also on the mark. Kudos to Jeremy and his staff. We came all dressed in white and he told us he knew he wanted to do something special for our party… they knocked it out of the park! Looking forward to coming back to Chicago and making a beeline for this restaurant… a no-brainer.“

“Ate there for the first time tonight. I am vegan and my husband is an Omni. Chef Bill came out and waited on us personally, and gave us menu recommendations, all of which were delicious! The ambiance was so relaxing and peaceful; it was a nice respite from a busy day and I didn’t want to leave. Reasonably priced as well: shared appetizer, two teas, two entrees, and two desserts was $60. Will definitely be back for many more dinners!“

“After a recent experience in an establishment not to be named, the whole experience at Happy Camper was a wonderful time.
From the heated entry, prompt and friendly greeting at the host stand, it only got better.
We were quickly seated nice and close to TVs to watch some NLCS playoff baseball (unfortunately sans Cubs). Our server was right there with waters and seeing if we had any questions. She was awesome! It's obvious they are well equipped and ready to provide a great experience. Drinks were brought out super fast. I am a big fan of the 32oz Vodka Lemonade.
We had the loaded skins, chips and salsa for appetizers. The salsa was delicious and chips were on point. The loaded potato skins were absolutely delicious! Almost like a mini loaded baked potato. So good!
Then, we had a pizza that I would not order if it weren't for my daughter loving ricotta. The Nadine Pizza with pepperoni, ricotta, basil, marinara and hot honey... and i must admit the hot honey was my biggest question mark, but it made the pizza incredible!
This will be on my radar next time I'm in town for sure!“

“Moonwalker is our favorite neighborhood cafe! They have the best sandwiches both for breakfast and lunch and such delicious lattes, the banana bread latte is to die for. All only made better by their incredible staff!“

“You can’t skip the charred octopus to start! It’s a perfect appetizer to share with an incredible roasted Calabrian chili sauce. My absolute favorite dish is the pennette cardinale! I can’t go to Sapori without ordering. The creamy tomato sauce pairs perfectly with the sun-dried tomatoes. I’m drooling just thinking about it! Lastly, you have to finish your dinner with the bread pudding. The warm pudding with the cold ice cream is perfection in every bite. 10/10 always!“

“Got there 15 mins before it opened and wasn’t one of the first 30 people in line, that’s when you know this bakery is going to be amazing! When I finally walked the I was greeted by the nice and knowledgeable staff. My savory dish was the bacon brioche and it was phenomenal! Crispy on the outside but soft in the inside. My first sweet bite was the salted caramel brown butter blondie brownie. It was delicious! They even let you choose a center or corner piece. My favorite pastry was the banana pudding croissant, it was even better than I thought it would be. I also got the basque cheesecake which was well prepared but the time I went they had peanut butter on it which I’m not a fan of. But I’m willing to try it again when they have a different flavor. Such a great bakery, will definitely come back.“

The owners take pride in managing the restaurant on a daily basis. They prioritize customer service, great food, and a warm, welcoming experience. Last night, they hosted the Highland Park/Highwood Professional Moms group. We had only expected 15 women to attend, but 25 women ended up coming. The owners and the staff were AMAZING. They brought over additional chairs. They provided us with top-notch service, including separate checks. Finally, Wife and I walk back in to join our friends and overhear 2 servers discussing with the host about not seating anyone after 9pm (they close at midnight btw) Great to know that you wanting to close early is more important than actually doing your jobs and making easy money (we only got drinks and 2 apps) Pathetic, will not come back. “Always loved their Greek pastries, they are the best, started going to them 60 yrs ago with my mom and dad. We were always going to Hellas for our parties baptisms and weddings. All our holiday needs were easily available for us. Unfortunately, we moved out to Poplar Grove, Illinois near Belvedere and have missed them greatly. “Food was surprisingly good. Hummus is dusted with tajin or something like that, so it has a little kick and lots of toasted chickpeas which is yummy. The buffalo chicken sliders are seriously outstanding. Service was friendly but a little bit absent at times. Atmosphere is lively. We were there for music bingo on Wednesday night and will definitely be back. It gets loud and hard to hear when it's full.“

“Honestly I love the red neon aesthetic, I only wish the white light from the lobby didn't bleed in as much. I will note, this place is small, like you're not gonna fit more than 20 people in here if you tried, more often than not you'll only find 4-5 people in here, but that's a vibe honestly too.

One thing I need to note is the food, omg how is the food here so good? It's ordered from across the street and some guy brings it over in a bag and it's phenomenal and well priced.
