“Always great and fresh sushi here. Keep in mind this isn't a sit-down spot and is strictly a take out place. Not much options if you were to walk in as you are required to order ahead (which can take some time ~ buffer at least 60 minutes ahead)
Parking: Somewhat difficult depending on time. The free parking lot doesn't have a lot of space.“

“Akai Hana has been in business for over 30 years, and the steady traffic means the sushi is fresh and safe, offered at a good price. However, the ambiance is lacking, with an outdated, cafeteria-like vibe and cheap-looking menus. It’s a solid spot for a quick, no-frills sushi meal, but not the place for a special dining experience.“

“Made to order sushi place that offers a range of options: nigiri, sashimi, rolls, and fried seafood etc.
Price is very reasonable. You can find a menu on their website. The store also sells Japanese snacks, sauces, and spices. Only a few small tables food court style so plan to get take out if you prefer table service or have group of 4+.
Recommend ordering on the phone in advance; at peak hours there is a wait time of about 40 minutes.
They do catering and large orders. Seems like a great option for ordering food for a party.“

“Best Sushi Restaurant on the planet. Not only was all the food superior than any other Sushi restaurant I've been to. My family and I had a feast.(I mean all the food was good). Very reasonable prices as well. The most astonishing fact about this restaurant was the host (Quam) his amazing knowledge of food and customer service was unlike any other. The Ice cream desert was mind blowing. You don't have to take my word for it, but I guarantee you, you won't find another Sushi restaurant in the city of Chicago as good this one. The ambiance of this establishment is very warm and pleasant. I highly recommend this place for family gatherings, and with people you want to share a special food feast with. It's pure laughter and joy. Thank you Quam for your kind recommendations on food selections. My family and I had the time of our lives, as if we were on vacation. Thank you! "Fresh Shushi Chicago" is a gift to eating out.“

“Really happy they expanded as it's easier to get a reservation/table. It can get a bit loud when full, but the food is awesome so well worth it. Stuffed salmon is a must order, but you can't really go wrong with everything on the menu.
My only minus is the $4/person corkage fee; if you don't want byob, just say it. They serve their own, so not a big deal.“

“Great place. The Onigiri and takoyaki were great to start with and then all the rolls were the perfect thing to split for the table. Our consensus was our favorite was the black ranger with orange and red close behind. We also tried the pink and green and while they weren't top 3 for us, still delicious and we finished them all. Great spot and BYOB was fantastic too.“

“BY FAR - BEST SUSHI IN PARK RIDGE. Amazing appetizers, super super high grade sushi, and incredible service. My wife and I actually order carryout every week now from this place. We love the fact that they offer soy paper instead of seaweed, and the crab stuffed mushroom appetizer is out of this world. Don't sleep on this place!!!!!!!“

“Mesaku Sushi offers fast, reliable take-out service with excellent sushi options. I ordered the Maki Tray A, which includes 2 spicy tuna rolls, 2 California rolls, and 2 fire rolls—a total of 52 pieces.
The quality of the sushi was impressive, with fresh ingredients and flavorful combinations. The spicy tuna had just the right kick, and the fire roll added an exciting element. Service was efficient, making it an ideal option for a quick meal.
I highly recommend Mesaku Sushi for anyone looking for convenient and delicious sushi on the go. A great experience overall.“

“Parking: There is a parking garage directly under the restaurant, taking the elevator up brings you right next to the patio. There were plenty of parking spots.
Wheelchair accessibility: The two sets of doors into the restaurant are not automatic, but the restaurant is very wheelchair accessible otherwise, and parking in the garage below, you're able to take an elevator up easily.“

“Over the years, Indie Cafe has been amazingly kind and thoughtful in their service, and their food preparations and presentations always go above and beyond all of my expectations. From quadruple-checking whether or not a menu item is gluten-free, to recommending the best wine/sake pairings for an entrée, their staff have always ensured that I've left their restaurant knowing that I was appreciated as a customer. And welcomed as a friend. Maya is hands-down one of the most excellent servers I've had the pleasure of dining with. She always goes above and beyond with her level of professionalism and attention, and her personality is lovely as well! Given the quality of their sashimi, the creativity behind their menu, and the warmth in their hearts? I look forward to dining with them for many years to come.“

“As a Chicago native in pursuit of the city's finest sushi, Ora has solidified its place among my top three sushi destinations. What distinguishes Ora is its ability to deliver robust flavors without unnecessary complexity. While many restaurants opt to stay on trend, Ora excels in providing sushi that exceeds expectations in both in a wealth of flavors, presentation, and overall ambiance. Ora's menu showcases classic sushi rolls with essential proteins, each offering a unique and approachable twist on traditional favorites. Additionally, I highly recommend indulging in their mochi dessert—it's wonderfully flavorful without being overly rich or creamy, providing a delightful conclusion to the meal. The service at Ora is exceptional, whether dining with friends or alone. I highly recommend sitting at the sushi bar, where the service is prompt and the staff incredibly kind. On weekends, Ora adopts a chic, modern ambiance that complements the overall experience without overwhelming noise levels. For sushi aficionados seeking an exceptional dining experience in Chicago, Ora is a must-visit destination and neighbourhood gem.“

“It's always a pleasant experience when I order from here. The food is consistently good, I'm personally a big fan of the fried rice dishes, miso soup, and Pad See Ew noodles! Quite affordable as well considering the great quality of the food. Takes like 5-10 minutes for the restaurant to prepare food for carry out so it's quick but somehow the quality of the food is not compromised in the process. This location, along with the one on Broadway in Lakeview, I would recommend to anyone looking for some good affordable Asian food! ?“

“THE BEST place for AYCE (all you can eat) sushi. I've been going here for almost 2 years and they never disappoint. Ordered out 3 or 4 times during the lock-down and they got my order perfectly right every time. They're open for dine-in again, very happy about that! The AYCE dinner menu includes appetizers, basic rolls, signature rolls, sushi, sashimi, and ice cream. Every single thing I've ever ordered has been high quality and absolutely delicious. Staff are very nice and the food comes out in good time. Our go-to spot, I recommend Sushi World to everyone I know!“

“First time trying Nobori, and I must say the Sushi was amazing. The owner Nobori was kind, friendly, and attentive. To start, we ordered edamame, and miso soup. One of the best miso soups I've had. Edamame was streaming hot, and yummy. We ordered Ramen miso soup, which was really tasty. For sushi we ordered, the Patrick roll, Galapagos roll, and sushi/sashimi combo that comes with spicy tuna rolls. For dessert we ordered green tea ice cream. All the rolls were phenomenal. We will def be back.“

“My family and I are very picky when it comes to sushi, but this place went beyond my expectations. They really stuffed the sushi with fresh ingredients. The quality of the fish was excellent. My father is especially particular about his sushi rice, and it was perfect for him. For the price of this sushi, it is definitely reasonable. I recommend this sushi restaurant to everyone. Will definitely come back to this place!“
