“We ordered Bulgogi Kimbop, Crab Cream Cheese Roll, Teriyaki Salmon Roll, and Famous Fried Chicken with honey garlic sauce. Everything was very fresh and tasty. The bulgogi kimbop had a generous amount of fillings but I could have used more of whatever delicious sauce was on it. My kids (age 2 and 3) devoured the crab cream cheese roll and the salmon teriyaki roll was slightly sweet and smoky and delicious. The boneless chicken was great. It was so crunchy and perfectly cooked and drenched in the his sticky honey garlic sauce that I was licking out of the package. The man who was running the restaurant (and cooking and ringing up orders, one man show!) was really nice and super kind! The restaurant didn’t have too many tables but the ambiance and decor was super cute and it was not loud inside. I will be back when I’m in town next.“

“I went here solo on a Thursday night. This is the absolute best sushi I ever had. Chef Otto is a sushi genius and the omakase experience proves. The highest quality fish I've had. Everything was on point. Sushi is very creative and not the nigiri you're used to. The experience is enhanced when you interact with Chef Otto. It was quiet at first but once you start chatting and getting to know Chef the dinner experience become even better. Make sure you ask him how he got into sushi and the story about Carlos Santana restaurant. It's only one turn of 8 total dinners so even though you may make reservations for 6:30 or 7, dinner only starts when everyone is there, I was able to get to know the other guests and I would encourage you to talk to your fellow dinners. It's about 2 hrs long and worth every penny. I plan on coming back every few months.“

The California roll and salad complete the meal perfectly. I also ordered the Truffle Yuzu Salmon, which had a beautiful balance of citrus and truffle flavor. The Wasabi Tuna roll with shrimp tempura and spicy tuna was bold and delicious. Amazing sushi spot in Park Ridge!“

My boys like the mushroom and California rolls sushi while I enjoyed the spicy hot fish poke bowl a lot. The staff and owner were super friendly and nice. The place was stylish, neat and clean. “Had a really good meal at Ekiben. I ordered the chicken katsudon and onigiri, and both are worth returning for. The katsudon was a generous bowl of chicken, rice, and soft egg—filling enough that I ended up taking some home. It’s a good choice if you’re looking for a substantial meal rather than a quick snack.

The onigiri were particularly good. Made to order, with fresh rice and generous fillings, they felt like something worth visiting for in their own right. The portions are larger than you might expect, so ordering a few to try would make a satisfying meal on its own. Alongside the katsudon, I had more than enough food.

The visit was easy from start to finish. I got a table immediately, and my order arrived in about ten minutes or less. It’s a casual place that works well for a quick lunch or an unhurried meal, and the portions make it good value.

I’d recommend trying both the katsudon and the onigiri on a first visit. I’d happily order the same again, but there’s enough on the menu to tempt me into trying something different. Will be back for sure.“

We had the best experience and their sushi was truly top notch. We basically ordered everything on the menu from sushi, caviar to desserts and drinks. they did not disappoint, customer service was superb. The owner even came outside to attend us, he showed up with his own bottle of sake. I truly appreciate the great experience we had at this beautiful and clean restaurant. Very reasonable prices as well. The most astonishing fact about this restaurant was the host (Quam) his amazing knowledge of food and customer service was unlike any other. The Ice cream desert was mind blowing. You don't have to take my word for it, but I guarantee you, you won't find another Sushi restaurant in the city of Chicago as good this one. My fiancé ordered the shrimp in a blanket and they were perfectly crispy and packed with flavor. I had the ramen both times and it was absolutely delicious. My fiancé tried the pad thai with shrimp on one visit and the basil shrimp fried rice on another, and both dishes were full of flavor and so satisfying. “I've been going here for years and this place never disappoints. The food is always on point. It's hard for me to find sweet potato tempura but look no further. The flakey crab ragoon tops any other. It's ruined crab ragoon for me anywhere else. The chicken pad thai is delicious and when adding their hot sauce, it's perfect! So many varieties of rolls, you'll definitely find a favorite. Their presentation is always so eye pleasing. If it's your birthday, they have the cutest and delicious mochi ice cream. The staff is always so kind, attentive, and service with a big smile. This is a place I like to show off to other people and It's always a positive feedback.“
