The white broth was excellent and had what tasted like truffle oil. Could have more salt, but not a deal-breaker. Pork Belly was thick and had some toughness/body too it. Not super-fatty. The poached egg was cooked perfectly. The amount of sprouts, corn, and other veggies were just right. Didn't grab any half off / BOGO sushis for once. Nice to stop by here after 7pm.“
“Best sushi I've had outside of Japan! Sometimes, omakase and high-end sushi spots try to get too crazy with their menu, but KND is simple, focusing on the quality of the dish. Our chef was very skilled and gave us a rundown of where they acquire all their fresh ingredients. The sake also paired wonderfully with the sushi. Our 16-course omakase was the perfect amount. A great place for a special occasion.“

“Came across this spot while randomly searching for brunch spots. And Itoko did not disappoint at all! We did reserve and the place was fairly full, the interior was nice and the staff were patient and kind. They have a separate brunch menu which we ordered off of. We got a southport set with the deviled eggs and the egg souffle, the teishoku japanese breakfast and the ebi tom yum and ginger crab temaki hand rolls for 3 of us. Everything tasted great, the presentation was actually really nice and my favorite were the hand rolls! Would definitely recommend trying this place out!“

“i've been here a handful of times now and always have such a pleasant experience. service: friendly and prompt. they are quick to greet you at the door and offer help with any questions. there is a self serve water station towards the middle of the restaurant restaurant is small and not too many tables but each time i've gone there wasn't many people. food: everything i order here is so good. they have a very extensive meal and also have added more it seems -bulgogi fries: must add the kimchi. it's so good! ask for no ketchup though.. felt like it would have been better without it -assortment of makis and kimbops: i can't choose, whichever one ive gotten has been so good -fried chicken: super crunchy! everything about my meals have been so good! highly recommend!“
“Overall the taste of all the ingredients is very good and well seasoned. They also has some toppings less commonly seen like shredded beets and bean sprouts! The place is very clean and they also weigh the noodles/rice to ensure evenness. The only con I would say is that the scoops of fish are on the small side so I would recommend 5 scoops over 3 for an adult. Also you get more fish if you choose the fish that already have spicy sauce, like spicy tuna, as opposed to plain fish, like plain salmon, due to the scoop shape. The seaweed salad topping and masago are both $1 extra which a minor point off“

The sushi & sashimi are fantastic, everything was mouthwatering from the fatty tuna to the sea urchin apps, and of course the rolls, we had some classic rolls, as well as signature ones with tuna and mango and softshell crab rolls. (and the kids loved the donkatsu, thankfully they haven't discovered sushi, yet!)“
“We had dinner here before seeing a show nearby. It's pretty low brow in terms of service / ambiance but the sushi was really fantastic! we had the Red Monster & pop cracker rolls. Really yummy! You have to be in the mood for BYOB, sometimes you really want a nice crafty martini shaken for you but in this case it was perfect for our group. I'm really excited to have a new option other than our usual place. We have ordered take out since we dined in last month and it's been great. Def recommend.“
“One of the best sushi restaurants I tried so far!! We order the all you can eat menu. The appetizers are so varied and tasty! The signature rolls are beyond tasty! We were four adults and two kids and they were able to accommodate us. We waited for some time wasn’t too long though. We also joined the waitlist on yelp. So the total wait time was around an hour. We repeated some appetizers for sure!! Also the motchi ice cream was so good. Will visit again for sure.“

It was very loud the day I went the were tables put together for a big party that had kids at it and it was really annoying and not very enjoyable to be there with all the noise. Food: chicken karaage was my least favorite I wasn't a fan of the batter and the texture/flavor was not what I expected. I really enjoyed my sushi rolls and the ramen was good for the most part it was basic and I added some additives (fish cakes (upcharge to add), corn and bean sprouts)“

My sashimi selection was delightful and miso soup very tasty. The nice nod to the classic Japanese cuisine was a delicious assortment of Japanese pickles. My husband loved the incredible dressing of the house salad, the right consistency of the egg rolls, and the freshness of the shrimp tempura roll. “First time here last week and last night (2/23/2024), we came back and dined with friends. There were 9 of us in the group. Food was delish! We had diff types of sushi, ramen, gyoza, edamame, and Taiyaki with vanilla ice cream for dessert. All were delish and brought to our table quickly. The place was clean and staff were efficient. We sat on the part of the restaurant where you sit on the floor while you eat. We enjoyed the authentic Japanese dining set-up. They have various Japanese beer and wine, and dessert options as well. Prices are slightly higher than other Japanese restaurants nearby (Ari Sushi in Des Plaines & Sushi Nikko in Arlington Heights) but we can deal with it because of the efficient service. I think this becoming one of our fave sushi places.“
