Very solid neighborhood bar, divey yet clean and homey. Phenomenal beers on draft (mostly German). Relaxed and friendly crowd (with an occasional character or two), playing eclectic and varied music on the jukebox. Angie is the afternoon bartender and always fun to chat with - she's attentive but not overbearing. Place feels like home away from home.
My love and I dropped into Carola's Hansa Clipper after dining at a nearby establishment on Halloween. Incredibly my non-costume this evening was a Hofbrauhaus Munich hoodie, so perhaps it was destiny that we wound up at this German bar in Lincoln Square for a nightcap.
