What a wonderful restaurant! Finally an authentic Italian restaurant in this neighborhood! Grazie Paola e Daniela!
I love this place! It’s so unique and inviting! L’Angolo Italiano is a new place that is authentically Italian, not only in the food it serves but also the culture it celebrates. In addition to traditional table service in the evenings (both indoors and on its outdoor patio), it organizes events such as Italian book talks, Italian game nights, and presentations about specific regions of Italy. L'Angolo Italiano is a gem in the heart of Rogers Park where Italian food and culture meet. The chef cooks authentic and delicious Italian food, and the founder of an Italian language and cultural center makes this an original place where you can taste real Italian food at a reasonable price and experience cultural events (book presentations, lectures, movies etc.) which explain what Italy is about. This unique and inviting bistro is authentically Italian, not only in the food it serves but also the culture it celebrates. In addition to traditional table service in the evenings (both indoors and on its outdoor patio), it organizes events such as Italian book talks, Italian game nights, and presentations about specific regions of Italy. The interior space is welcoming with bookshelves full of Italian books, tables for dining, and an open kitchen. It offers a frequently changing menu of fresh and tasty small dishes from the various Italian regions in a welcoming, convivial environment, both inside and in its sheltered sidewalk seating area. It is well on its way to instituting the Italian apericena tradition in Chicago. It is steps from the Jarvis Red Line stop and has free street parking nearby.
