This new Italian spot is a fantastic addition to the neighborhood. The menu offers a great selection, and everything we tried was delicious. The burrata with prosciutto is a must—fresh, creamy, and perfectly balanced. From the soup and salad to the entrees and thoughtfully curated wine list, each dish impressed.

La Dolce Vita Cucina is a neighborhood Italian restaurant and wine bar on Irving Park Road in Chicago’s Portage Park area, offering traditional Italian cooking with a contemporary touch. The menu features house made pastas, seafood, steaks, Italian classics, desserts and gelato, complemented by wine, cocktails and a full bar. With its warm, polished atmosphere, outdoor patio and occasional live entertainment, it offers a comfortable setting for everything from a casual Italian meal to a more leisurely dinner.
Guests describe an absolutely wonderful experience with incredibly welcoming, friendly, and attentive staff who truly went above and beyond. The food is absolutely delicious, full of flavor, and prepared to perfection, and the dessert was the perfect finishing touch. The restaurant exceeded expectations with exceptional customer service and delicious food, and the service, food, dessert and ambience were 10/10.
The fried calamari misto arrived perfectly golden and crisp, paired with a bright marinara. The linguine alle vongole was a standout — plump, briny clams tossed with al dente linguine in a garlicky white wine sauce. The fettuccine Alfredo with chicken was rich, silky, and generous with the noodles. The sauce with the sautéed mushrooms on top of the ravioli was amazing, the homemade pizza was delicious, and the ice creams were incredible. The restaurant is flexible and happy to make changes or add ingredients, and everything tastes fresh. Great portions, great flavor, great vibe. Five stars, easy.
