This is a jewel in Albany Park
Fantastic meal! The steak and birria were absolutely amazing full of flavor and cooked perfectly. My kids ordered from the junior menu and loved every bite. Great food, great service, and a place we’ll definitely be coming back to.
Really fantastic quesadillas! Full of flavor, very hearty portions, and kind service. Will definitely go again to try other dishes!! Might catch some World Cup matches here too
Machetes Big Quesadillas offers delicious food with generous toppings, including the popular mushroom quesadilla and junior machete. The family that runs this shop is known for their kindness, making it a go-to place for many locals. The service is attentive and friendly, and they provide free samples of new dishes like potato/green bean/turkey side. Customers appreciate the fresh ingredients and the option to split meats in dishes like the machete, which is a great value for the price. The atmosphere is modern yet authentic, making for a unique dining experience. The restaurant is clean and bright, and the salsa verde is particularly praised. It is also Spanish speaker friendly, but the staff is patient and responsive to all customers. Be sure to try the exquisite stews and enjoy the mix of culture and nationality at this restaurant, open until 8 pm. Ordering ahead is suggested to avoid long waits during busy times.
