Nice place with great options. Staff is very nice and the food has a great taste. The bathrooms aren't quite small, so there is typically a small line

Phoenix Restaurant in Chicago's Chinatown offers authentic Cantonese dim sum and a menu filled with traditional dishes. Customers can enjoy pulled chicken noodles, scallop & egg whites fried rice, and a variety of dim sum. Vegetarian options are available. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and is kid-friendly. Parking is located across the street, but there is no wheelchair accessibility, and parking can be challenging. The food is praised as authentic and delicious, with some reviews highlighting excellent dim sum and tasty dishes like fried dumplings, spring rolls, General Tso's chicken, and BBQ Pork Lo Mein. The restaurant is an older style, more traditional dim sum palace, with a typical Chinese restaurant atmosphere. Service is generally good, although some reviews mention that staff need to be flagged down. Restrooms are sometimes noted as not very clean. Customers appreciated the flavorful shumai and crab Rangoon, as well as interesting fried rice with soft shell crab and shrimp. Overall, the place remains a favorite for delicious food, and many plan to return when in Chicago, especially for events like wedding receptions.
