Great place! Great food! I'll be back for their Sweetest Day dinner special Oct. 21st 2017! Dinner and Comedy!! I'm going to this!!
The place is very large and nice. It appears that they have a lot of catered events there, because of the seating arrangement. We sat at the bar and chatted with the cashier while we waited for our food to be prepared. The music and atmosphere were great. The spaghetti could've used more seasoning, but overall the food was delicious, especially the soul food vegetable egg rolls. We enjoyed both fried and jerk chicken, Mac and cheese, candied yams, greens made with turkey and spaghetti.

Howard Street Soul is a large and nice place with a great music and atmosphere. The food is delicious, especially the soul food vegetable egg rolls, and the service is phenomenal and friendly. Guests enjoyed the fried and jerk chicken, Mac and cheese, candied yams, greens made with turkey, spaghetti, baked chicken, and 2 piece catfish dinners. The catfish is so damn good, and the beef spaghetti is delish. The sides are always a fave, and the cornbread muffin is a plus. The food tastes like it was made right at home and is fresh and flavorful. Some noted the spaghetti could’ve used more seasoning, and one plate got soaked with bbq sauce. A caramel cake was forgotten in one pick up order, but the caramel cake is pure heaven. The service is top, with nothing being an issue. This is some of the best soul food, and most decent soul food places are not in the Northshore of Chicagoland. Support this small business to keep these gems in the neighborhood.
