About Rosebud on Rush

Rosebud on Rush offers a wonderful dining experience with delicious homemade recipes like shrimp risotto, filet on Madeira sauce, homemade pasta, and chicken parmigiana. The portions are generous, perfect for taking leftovers home. The service is excellent, even when the restaurant is busy and loud on weekend nights. The staff is attentive and kind, providing incredible service that customers say is the best they’ve experienced in Chicago. The restaurant has a great wine selection available for pairing with the food, and guests have enjoyed dishes like the fresh bruschetta, perfectly cooked lasagna, and mile-high chocolate cake. Some diners have mentioned issues with the oils used for cooking and the quality of the veal dishes. Customers have also raved about the shrimp Alla rosebud (shrimp scampi) and the fried eggplant antipasto dish, highlighting the delicious food and overall great experience.

The restaurant can be very loud, with some guests noting it sounded like techno music was playing in the background. Many visitors return often, praising the consistently delicious food and friendly service, especially from the staff like Angie, who provides excellent suggestions. The large portions, such as the spaghetti and meatballs that can feed 2-3 people and the huge, tasty garlic knots, are favorites. Overall, Rosebud on Rush remains a top choice for those visiting Chicago, offering great food and attentive service despite the lively, noisy atmosphere.

Our server Jaime was excellent! We got the shrimp scampi, chicken parm, and tortellini carbonara and carrot cake! Huge portions. The restaurant itself was cute, has a patio and a bar in the basement! Overall great experience!

Nice “old school” Italian restaurant. We sat in the basement of an old brownstone. There was an additional dining room upstairs and an ample , picturesque patio area outside. My wife raved about the tagliatelle bolognese I tried the veal francese which was good but not the best I've ever tasted. Service was excellent and friendly. My only complaint was the $32.00 charge for two small limoncellos after dinner. They should have been comped. Would have left a better taste in...read full review

We celebrated our 42nd Anniversary . Everything from Host to checkout was a great experience. Our Server was Angela she was on point and so wonderful we felt as we have known her for years. Be prepared when you go. Oh, make sure you go hungry as portions are hearty, for light eaters can be taken home. We will be talking about this place we we get back to Toronto, Canada
