When I walked in it smelled so delicious. It immediately felt like authentic Mexican food. The atmosphere was bright and I sensed I was gonna eat good. I appreciated that I could see the cooks preparing the food. The service was really nice and to the point, and the cashier had nice energy.

Chicago has some of the best Mexican food in the US. Yea I said it. Atotonilco has what I consider to be the very best Al pastor tacos and I’ve had many lol. I’ve had them in California, Chicago, Texas and more.
What makes these different to me is the meat is soft and the marinade/sauce is so flavorful. I haven’t tasted any others like these. Amazing.

Great taco fast service. Shakes are tasty. In this digital age they dont accept cards cash only. Luckily I had enough. Overall great steak tacos. Meat was cooked well done and still tender. Tortillas were a little on the crispy side. But I didnt grow up rich so it was still tasty 😋 😆

Open until 3am, it never disappoints, offering quality food and homemade drinks like the recommended banana milkshake. Although a bit pricey and cash-only, the ham tortas are good. However, some feel the prices are not justified by the cash-only policy and suspect unreported profits due to it. Free parking is available.
