4 Best Burger Restaurants near Columbia

“We are full-time RVers who, while traveling around the US, are in search of the best cheeseburger and have a rating system of The Best (only 1 rated), Very Good, Good, OK, and Not Impressed. While at our home base in Southern Illinois, we were in the Columbia, IL, area and Googled “hamburger restaurants.” We saw Washy’s Pub had good burger reviews, so decided to give them a try for lunch. Washy’s has a simple bar atmosphere with about a dozen tables. We ordered their Classic burger with me having American cheese and my wife pepperjack. We also requested lettuce, pickles, and sliced onions. The handmade patties were about 10 oz (good sized), nicely seasoned, cooked to order, charbroiled, and served on a nicely-toast fresh bun. I had their skinny-style battered fries and my wife had onion rings. The burgers came out hot and were super tasty due the meat seasoning. We’re not sure what seasoning they used, but it worked! My wife’s burger was just a tiny bit better than mine due the pepperjack they use. The fries and onion rings were among the best we’ve had as well. We rated the burgers (even without a special sauce), fries, and onion rings Very Good. The service was also top notch.“

“Drive thru around 5:00 ish. Service was quick, no wait. The employee at the window was very cheerful and pleasant. Was starving and just needed a quick bite to hold me over till I got home. Whopper Jr seemed like a good choice.

It was served quickly and I pulled over "in" the lot to scarf it down then be on my way.

Unwrapped the burger and it was barely warm and I do mean barely. There were sufficient condiments but still the meat itself was on the verge of being cold.“

“We mostly go to Dairy Queen for the Blizzards—they are really good! The variety of flavors and mix-ins always hits the spot. The girl at the window was very nice, which made the experience even better. Service was pretty quick.
While the rest of the menu is standard fast food, it’s the Blizzards and shakes that really keep us coming back.“

“Love you Sonic for YEARS! But... for the last few months almost every single time I get my usual Cookie Dough Blast I am so disappointed. Manager please retrain your kids how to make the Cookie dough Blasts.🙏🏻 Either there are absolutely no dough chunks mixed in the Ice cream and only a spoon full of melted ones on the top. OR there where a few they put in the ice cream before they blended it which disintegrated them into tiny little specs, with a few melted ones sprinkled on the top. I have been getting these for years and I really miss the awesome way you used to make them. Thank you ❤️“
