“I just came home from Culver’s. We ordered online and I scheduled curbside pickup. Well I wanted to add to my order and walked in too early. Well it wasn’t even started yet but they went above and beyond trying to accommodate me. The manger was amazing as were all the employees. They all apologized to me but I made the mistake. Brought me my food which was just made and nice and hot. The young man who brought me my food also apologized to me and held the door open for me. What a wonderful experience. This was in in Darien Il. Will definitely return. My nam is Kathy and I hope the manager sees this. Thank you Culver’s.“

“The food here is FANTASTIC. We ordered the stuffed banana peppers, coconut shrimp, salmon that’s on corn tamale cake (oh my goodness), seafood linguine, and lobster mac n cheese. We were both really impressed with how delicious all of the food was. Our waiter Jorge was so kind and attentive. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommended.“

My “BLT” could’ve used some more flavor with a different or more sauce, but overall I enjoyed it and the rest of the food (lumpia, french toast). Price was a little steep, especially for brunch menu, but not crazy expensive. Very friendly and inviting staff.“

I came before they were closing and he took care of me , I absolutely love JJ Fish & Chicken! Every time I go, I order the chicken tenders, and they are always fresh, hot, and perfectly seasoned. You can tell they take pride in the quality of their food. The customer service is excellent—everyone is friendly, welcoming, and quick to help. It’s hard to find a spot that consistently delivers great food and service, but JJ Fish & Chicken nails it every time. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for delicious food and a great experience!“

“After a week of travel for this Mom, the last thing I wanted to do was to make dinner. This isn't the first time we've been to Glen Prairie and I knew it was just the place I wanted to go. The atmosphere is warm, but quiet. Perfect for a good family catchup. The food is comforting without being too heavy and the wine, beer and cocktail selection is the perfect pairing. We've had the pleasure of being served by Anna a few times now and she does a great job. She is attentive and watchful, without being overbearing which is a difficult skill to master for a lot of servers. Aside from that, I love that it is a safe place for folks with food allergies and I feel very well taken care of in respect to that issue. I can tell that everyone from the hosts to the servers to the bartenders to the kitchen staff are very well trained in creating a safe and welcoming experience for each guest. Glen Prairie is quickly becoming one of our go to family favorite restaurants and we will definitely be back!“

“We had a large group just before lunchtime on a Saturday, and they were great about squeezing us in. Our server D was amazing, truly, and the other staff were helpful and attentive, too. The food was delicious, hot, fast, priced affordably. They have a large menu. We had some special diets in our group and there were enough options for them to find what they needed. I definitely would return and would recommend it to friends.“

“We dined at Topaz in August 2024 and had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. We were seated in a comfortable booth. A special mention goes to our server, Sasa, who was incredibly attentive and provided great suggestions. He even surprised us with complimentary limoncellos, which were absolutely delicious. For appetizers, we had the grilled octopus and hummus—both prepared to perfection and bursting with flavor. For the main course, we chose the Dover sole and Amish chicken. These dishes were exceptional and stood out as some of the best we've ever had. The potatoes served with the sole were also a delightful surprise. Portions were generous, and the prices were quite reasonable considering the quality and quantity of the food. We highly recommend Topaz and will definitely be returning!“

“We were very disappointed with our "Student Run" dinner at Waterleaf. In the past the students who prepared the meals presented and explained their course while it was being served. There was no mention or description of any course at all. The wine pairings were read from a script. The chef instructor came out to thank the diners but did not once mention any of the students who cooked, served and poured wine. Waterleaf is not Student Run anymore, it is Instructor Run.“

But they always give us the table in the back. We stay a long time. And we are all treated well and they still serve breakfast itmems at lunch, so everyone is happy!“

Starting from the first day that we went to see The Elm we were treated with the upmost respect and professionalism. We had our ceremony in the Kensington room, and our reception in the Madison room. The atmosphere and vibe of both rooms was everything that we could hope for. The staff was incredible, the food/drinks were AMAZING, and our guests had nothing but positive feedback. “On August 16, 2024 my dear friend Eberta Wright celebrated her 103 birthday. We celebrated it at The Lazy Dog Restaurant in the Highlands were we used to go for lunch every Sunday after church. Our waiter was always Carlos. One Sunday he told me to let him know when she was to celebrate her next birthday because he wanted to do something special for her. I called him and told him it was here so he talked to his manager and WOW!!!!! Kyla, Alexa, Andrea and Carlos put together a spectacular birthday celebration. Mrs. Wright and I both were so surprised and delighted with what they did. The decorations, the gorgeous flowers the cupcakes that Kyla made and decorated to spell out her birth year. Everything was just wonderful. Carlos came in on his day off and got to have lunch with us. He is a very special young man. In fact everyone there is very special. The Lazy Dog will always be my number one restaurant not just because of the good food but because they are a group of very special people.“

Cocktails were fantastic and their Bourbon choices were great for an after dinner pour. We finished with their blueberry cheesecake and devoured every crumb! “George’s has been ‘Lockport’…..everyone goes to George’s. Love the place!! Been going there for years! Today I went there for breakfast and was told by the waitress I was not allowed to bring in my own creamer. She said it was because people sneak in alcohol disguised as other beverages. Ok…I get that. They don’t want alcohol in the restaurant….but when she claimed it was COVID related that was utter nonsense. Is this yet another instance of stupidity where COVID is on outside creamer bottles but not on everything other item coming through the door? D****“
