“Inexpensive home cooked to order- delish biscuits and gravy says my husband, my eggs cooked just right (I like lightly basted - yolks runny whites hard), the off the bone ham, grilled and just so tasty, pancakes are a bit fall apart, but the home cooked taste is just right.. extra hot water for my tea before I asked... “We arrived late and were tired and hungry. Miss Maria was so nice and kind to serve us. My burger and my daughters salmon Caesar salad were wonderful. Miss Maria knew we were stressed out, she was there to take care of us. We were in town for my cousins funeral and Miss Maria was most accommodating of our needs. We returned in the am for a very nice breakfast.“

“After a week of travel for this Mom, the last thing I wanted to do was to make dinner. This isn't the first time we've been to Glen Prairie and I knew it was just the place I wanted to go. The atmosphere is warm, but quiet. Perfect for a good family catchup. The food is comforting without being too heavy and the wine, beer and cocktail selection is the perfect pairing. We've had the pleasure of being served by Anna a few times now and she does a great job. She is attentive and watchful, without being overbearing which is a difficult skill to master for a lot of servers. Aside from that, I love that it is a safe place for folks with food allergies and I feel very well taken care of in respect to that issue. I can tell that everyone from the hosts to the servers to the bartenders to the kitchen staff are very well trained in creating a safe and welcoming experience for each guest. Glen Prairie is quickly becoming one of our go to family favorite restaurants and we will definitely be back!“

“The food here is FANTASTIC. We ordered the stuffed banana peppers, coconut shrimp, salmon that’s on corn tamale cake (oh my goodness), seafood linguine, and lobster mac n cheese. We were both really impressed with how delicious all of the food was. Our waiter Jorge was so kind and attentive. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommended.“

“My girlfriend and I found this place 5 days ago and decided to come back for lunch. We really enjoyed the onion soup, onion rings and steak sandwich, and chili. Lynn was very friendly and shared some interesting ghost stories and the story about the 1961 plane crash in the cornfield. The food, service, and atmosphere were all great. It feels like visiting an old family place, and it’s definitely worth the drive! No-wait at all!“

“My sister and I each live about 40 mins from a Cracker Barrell and meet there about every three months to catch up. Love the food! Recently had the Wednesday special Chicken and broccoli which was fabulous! Waitresses always nice and patient as we catch up. And when we’re done eating there are always purchases to be made in the store, so much to look at!! It’s always a good afternoon. Thanks Cracker Barrel!“

Spices added to food weren't identified on the menu or listed by the waiter when he provided a description. Despite the complexity of my friend's dietary needs, our waiter and a supervisor were extremely patient and accommodating.“

“Marvelous play to come and play. On weekends, live entertainment, with lots of great bands, doing many oldies and nostalgic songs! Great food for reasonable prices, fantastic staff and customer service, and the music is what I come for. I am 70 and find people my age and older, tearing up the rug. Yeah, lots of fun, and comaraderie with those of us senior citizens, that don't act like it, and will enjoy ourselves as much as the band allows.
