“Inexpensive home cooked to order- delish biscuits and gravy says my husband, my eggs cooked just right (I like lightly basted - yolks runny whites hard), the off the bone ham, grilled and just so tasty, pancakes are a bit fall apart, but the home cooked taste is just right.. extra hot water for my tea before I asked... Great job! We’ll def be back!!!“

Miss Maria knew we were stressed out, she was there to take care of us. We were in town for my cousins funeral and Miss Maria was most accommodating of our needs. “After a week of travel for this Mom, the last thing I wanted to do was to make dinner. This isn't the first time we've been to Glen Prairie and I knew it was just the place I wanted to go. The atmosphere is warm, but quiet. Perfect for a good family catchup. The food is comforting without being too heavy and the wine, beer and cocktail selection is the perfect pairing. We've had the pleasure of being served by Anna a few times now and she does a great job. She is attentive and watchful, without being overbearing which is a difficult skill to master for a lot of servers. Aside from that, I love that it is a safe place for folks with food allergies and I feel very well taken care of in respect to that issue. I can tell that everyone from the hosts to the servers to the bartenders to the kitchen staff are very well trained in creating a safe and welcoming experience for each guest. Glen Prairie is quickly becoming one of our go to family favorite restaurants and we will definitely be back!“

I remember going here as a little girl with my grandma, my parents, and now as an adult, and it’s never diminished in quality or decreased in quaint coziness. The service is attentive, genuinely friendly, and assuringly knowledgeable. The atmosphere is that of an old world supper club from the past. The menu has plentiful options without being overwhelming. We plan to come back and bring guests, and have added this to our list of “Hidden Gems for Out of Town Visitors.”“

“Went last night reserved a party of 6 but another friend showed up and Anthony the owner accommodated us. We ordered half the menu including the star of the show being the tomahawk steak. We shared all items buffet style sampling all dishes. Everything was excellent and everyone in the party was thoroughly impressed!“

“My sister and I each live about 40 mins from a Cracker Barrell and meet there about every three months to catch up. Love the food! Recently had the Wednesday special Chicken and broccoli which was fabulous! Waitresses always nice and patient as we catch up. And when we’re done eating there are always purchases to be made in the store, so much to look at!! It’s always a good afternoon. Thanks Cracker Barrel!“

“My mom and I like to meet at wineries/ wine bars once a month that halfway for us (parents live in Crystal Lake and I live in LaSalle). Goat and Vine was an excellent restaurant with delicious food and a variety of top notch wines! On top of that, our server made our first time experience that much better; I highly recommend!!“

“Rosies moved to their new location and changed menu items. I use to go for the sausage gravy, but would you know they changed the sausage gravy and biscuits!!! It's not as good as before at all. The sausage were cut into tiny pieces instead of crumbled sausage. The biscuits were to big for the little gravy given. It was good while it lasted!!!!“

Great food for reasonable prices, fantastic staff and customer service, and the music is what I come for. I am 70 and find people my age and older, tearing up the rug. Yeah, lots of fun, and comaraderie with those of us senior citizens, that don't act like it, and will enjoy ourselves as much as the band allows.
