I went in knowing zero about Burmese cuisine, but was walked through a series of dishes that have become instant classics that I crave: tofu gyaw, the tea salad, kyarzan thoke, chicken mango, and the goat curry. Do not sleep on this place! The food is fresh and meticulously prepared. The flavors are incredible and the portions filling. The staff are warm and engaging. 10/10 across the board.“

Rachel, our server, was phenomenal, I liked her so much I even asked her to help me "customize" my pasta dish, which she happily did (and it turned out great! The lobster diavolo but with vodka sauce...keeping the spice level.) Caesar salad good but not traditional...and missing anchovies (I know, I'm weird. Very fresh ingredients though.) “Limited menu but they change on the seasons. I like that you can add a lobster tail. They vary in how good they are. The waiter was no where to be seen in between him getting our order. Had to ask others for help. I had the pork chop and you’d think you’d get potato and veggie. No. The sauce was terribly sweet so I was so glad I got it on the side. Worst old fashioned I’d ever had. The desserts are cute.“

Starting from the first day that we went to see The Elm we were treated with the upmost respect and professionalism. We had our ceremony in the Kensington room, and our reception in the Madison room. We've had the pleasure of being served by Anna a few times now and she does a great job. She is attentive and watchful, without being overbearing which is a difficult skill to master for a lot of servers. Aside from that, I love that it is a safe place for folks with food allergies and I feel very well taken care of in respect to that issue. I can tell that everyone from the hosts to the servers to the bartenders to the kitchen staff are very well trained in creating a safe and welcoming experience for each guest. Glen Prairie is quickly becoming one of our go to family favorite restaurants and we will definitely be back!“

“The chili is good. Entered into a chili competition at work and really didnt feel like cooking. Purchased 4 quarts of chili and told my co-workers how I slaved over making this chili, putting just the right spices in to give it its unique taste. Everyone loved it! I lost 1st place by two points, probably because the judge can't add, but whatever. And yes, those are hotdogs in the picture. We made chili dogs. Their cream of chicken soup is good too.“

“I’ve been to Greece four different times, and I can tell you right now — Greek Islands gets as close to authentic Greek food as you can possibly get without boarding a flight to Athens.

The food was simply amazing. The chicken kebabs were perfectly seasoned, juicy, and grilled exactly the way they do it overseas. And the Mediterranean chicken with rice Wow. Full of flavor, tender, and seasoned in a way that instantly brings you back to a seaside taverna. Every bite tasted fresh no shortcuts here.

The calamari was so fresh, I could’ve sworn Poseidon brought the octopus in himself. Lightly breaded, perfectly fried, and incredibly tender — not rubbery at all. That’s how you know it’s the real deal.

The restaurant was super busy, and honestly, I could tell why. When a place is packed like that, it usually means one thing: they’re doing something right. The aesthetics of the restaurant are super cool too — it has that vibrant, warm Greek vibe that makes the whole experience feel authentic and lively.

You only thought you might need something at the table and it would appear out of no where. The food was all home made and you could tell made from traditional old recipes and a lot of love thrown in. You feel like you are in a small cafe in Italy.
