We celebrated my mom’s birthday at Field House in Deerfield and it was honestly such a special experience from start to finish.

The atmosphere is beautiful—warm, inviting, and perfect for both an intimate family dinner or a bigger celebration. From the moment we walked in, the team made us feel so welcomed and taken care of, which made the night even more meaningful.

The food completely exceeded expectations. Everything we ordered was incredible—from the homemade cheese curds (a must!) to the nachos, and my personal favorite, the lobster gnocchi. The menu truly has something for everyone, and every dish felt thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor.

What really stood out was how accommodating and kind everyone was while we celebrated. They made my mom feel so special, and that’s something we’ll always remember.

If you’re looking for a place that delivers amazing food, great energy, and a genuinely memorable experience, Field House is it. We’ll absolutely be back.“

“My husband and I are visiting from Arizona and were meeting some friends in The Glen. We planned on going to The Yardhouse, but thought it was too noisy. Saw the reviews for The Oak and we were so glad we did. The burger I had was the best burger I have ever had, our friend felt the same. My husband and our other friend had the rueben, they loved them also. We left the restaurant and we were going to take individual pics, then this really nice guy offered to take a picture of all of us. He was so very nice. Guess what, he was the owner. We will definitely be back on our next visit here and our friends will be back sooner. Great food!!!!“

“We have discovered this place 3 years ago when we are searching for an outdoor casual dining. What we found was a great place that had outdoor seating on a deck patio with umbrellas and a TV set to watch sporting events. The service was friendly, and the food was great. The drinks were very reasonable. The menu was large having everything from sandwiches to dinners. We never had a bad experience there and brought family and friends to enjoy the evening sitting outside. We always come back.“

“Atmosphere was fun and festive, but with only two bartenders, it took forever to get drinks. I stood at the bar with money waving in my hand for over fifteen minutes. Staff was friendly and the fish looked clean. Typical noise level for a bar on a Saturday night with live music.
Thankfully, our friends got here early and held a table for us, otherwise it was standing room only.“

“A whole bar in a building the size of a large loving room: it's pretty cool. An Irish theme, cozy environment, and live music made for a great experience. Although small, lots of people came and went giving a very vibrant feel. The bartender did an excellent job getting to all the patrons. Restrooms were clean. Overall a great bar experience.“

“This is a great hang right above the theater, in a beautiful, historic building. It’s a well known and well loved establishment in downtown Arlington Heights. Sure, there are rules (be leery of patron reviews who can’t stand to be chided for breaking legal rules!), but everyone needs to feel SAFE while having fun. I’ve seen too many great bars in downtown buildings get completely trashed by entitled people. I, my family and friends have been here many times and have never had a bad experience! “Amazing service! Enjoyed a birthday dinner for my husband, and the meal was taking a little long to come out. We didn't even say anything since it was a Saturday, and understood things gets busy. Manager came over immediately and said dessert was on the house along with an additional taco (the culprit of the delayed meals)!“

Both of our dishes were prepared to our specifications. Mine was seared on the outside and tender moist on the inside. To add to that perfection, the sunchoke purée had an amazing mélange of flavors. I finished my meal with the Scorza Dolce--also packed with flavor.I have now had three meals that were so exquisitely flavorful that they will stick in my mind forever (previous two are from 1981 and 2005). My salmon at Mino's is now my #1 all-time favorite meals!“
