“This is a nice little boba shop. They have a solid selection of drinks and toppings. There are a few pastries available, too.

I wish there was a nicer area inside to sit around and read, play board games, or hang out. Also, the drinks tend to be too sweet even at the lowest sugar preference. If they worked on these it would be an easy 5 stars.“

The boba was good. It tasted just how i imagined.
The star of the show will be the service. The woman who attended us was very friendly, helpful and understanding. Honestly would rate it higher if i could. The service itself was amazing. “Went to pick up a sandwich next door at Firehouse, while waiting for it to be made I walked over to this MilkTea shop. First time having anything Boba, so I went in and had a few curious questions about the teas, drinks, extras ect. The cashier was super nice, answered all questions, I got the Chocolate Boba Milk Tea and I thought it was great. The tapioca was good too. The place is very clean, neat, the bar area was also tidy and well kept. I saw there was a screen off to the side where you can order in case there’s a bit of a line at the cashier which was nice. Will be coming back to get a smoothie or something different from the selections next time.“

“Voltage is the best bubble tea I have had in all of Chicagoland! I usually get bubble tea in the city, but this is far better than any place I have tried. They have quite an assortment of flavors (Honeydew! Peach! My faves and so rare to find!). The milk tea came perfectly cold with just enough ice to keep it cool (but not too much) as well as a generous amount of tapioca/boba! The tapioca balls were a wonderfully pleasant, squishy consistency- a tapioca texture unmatched by anywhere I’ve been before. We ordered 2 milk teas and were offered a free tea on our next order- which is very kind, considering bubble tea is expensive! At first my sister was skeptical about getting bubble tea from a fast food spot, but we are so glad we did! I am sold on Voltage and will go out of my way to come whenever I am in the area or passing through.“

We tried five different drinks: blended brown sugar with tapioca, peach gummy bear with lychee tapioca, strawberry gummy bear with strawberry popping, mango with lemon, and another strawberry gummy bear with regular tapioca. All of them were insanely sweet. Like, “kids bouncing off the walls and singing kpop songs at full volume at 10 pm” sweet. Kids loved it. We the bedtime enforcers, did not. The service was a bit slow, but nothing unreasonable. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely come back.“

“We stopped here on a whim while we waited for a tire repair at the local Firestone. Super friendly staff. Lots of customers coming in to place orders. My husband daughter ordered fries chicken and chicken tenders with fries and they did warn us it would take twenty mins because they cook them fresh to order. They were the crispiest, tastiest, flakiest pieces of chicken. The fries were awesome too. I had a single chicken taco and it was fresh, flavorful and delicious! We also ordered some bubble tea blended drinks that were good. I'm glad we stopped here.“

“Clean and quaint. Dining area was full when we arrived. Great food- the eggrolls were some of best I've had. Orange chicken was crispy. Mongolian beef very tasty, but a bit too soft for me ( I prefer a bit of crisp to this dish). Shrimp fried rice was plentiful and very good. I didn't care for the crab rangoon (sweet) or scallion pancake ( chewy)...but I would definitely come back again and get LOTS of eggrolls!“

“This place is the only Japanese inspired bubble tea I have found in the county of Dupage and in the west suburbs of Chicago. From Hokkaido milk tea to the shokupan (swirl bread), they offer a variety of Japanese items to try. As someone who grew up in Japan I really appreciate that they have brought in drinks and food that remind me of some piece of home.

I recently noticed that they added jewelry accessories including some Sanrio character earrings. The earring variety may change.

Regardless of your background, if you want to try a place that’s a little different from what you are used to, you can give this place a try. The staff is friendly and they also try to incorporate communal meals to be enjoyed by the locals and visitors alike.“

The food was good and filling, the serving portions are just right or more than expected. There are sketchbooks on the table you can draw on which makes eating there more fun. “I wish I took pictures, but we ate everything so quickly… IT’S JUST SO GOOD! We had the Korean hotdogs, mochi donuts and boba coffee and milk tea. Every week they have different mochi donut flavors, try them all! For the Korean hotdogs, you choose your flavor, then if you want mozzarella/sausage, and a dipping sauce. Also, the actual location is cute and inviting with extra seating in the back. Highly recommend!“
