“One of my favorite coffee shops in town. Their coffee is rich and delicious. Their pastries are yummy. My dog loves the pup cup. My only criticism is that I wish the dining room was larger. Does have a drive through, but the entrance is in really weird spot behind the store.“

“Tldr; help a local business (Sugar and Rhyme in Elgin) thrive so I can always have amazing croissants I have discovered an absolute gem in Elgin. I have been missing out big time. If you haven't been to Sugar and Rhyme yet, and you love croissants, please go. Also I've only tried one latte, but I like it. So report back with your findings on that matter. I went to visit family in Europe back in like 2008. This place makes the best croissant I've had since then. Like, hands down. It's easily of equal quality. I can't get over it. And they make everything in house. Fresh. Daily. INCLUDING!!!!! all the coffee mixins. The only sad thing is that the store is really small, so you're probably not going to be able to find a seat. But you should still go. I want this place to absolutely thrive so I can have a steady supply of their croissants. Don't let me down, people. P.S. “I love getting my morning coffee from Elder + Oat a few times a week. It is a little bit of a haul from my house but totally worth it. Have usually get their monthly seasonal cold brew I have never disliked it. Nicole is the sweetest barista! I highly recommend this cute coffee shop!“

“My son loved his first time here! It is very well kept and clean. There are separate spaces for both kids who are not yet walking and older kids. He enjoyed a little bit of both. I love that it is very spacious and there are seating areas throughout to sit and watch your children play while enjoying a snack or coffee from the cafe. We will definitely be back!“

“I love coffee but I don't love paying ridiculous prices for it- I even think Starbucks is overpriced. This place charged extra for everything including getting your coffee iced! I paid $20 for 2 coffees, which is practically highway robbery. Luckily for them, I was in such a hurry that I didn't pay attention to anything but grabbing my drinks and going. “A must go-to for coffee/café connissures. The Seventh Heaven latte is the perfect balance of sweet flavors without going overboard on the sugar. I paired my latte with the Amarillo Chipotle sandwich. An absolutely delicious spicy twist on the classic bacon, egg, and cheese. Jesse helped me decide on the order and I'm so glad he did. The staff were kind, professional, and most importantly know what they are doing with their food and drinks. 10/10“

Picked up my iced coffee this morning and didn’t realize until I was done drinking my coffee that there was a nice little note on my cup! This definitely made my Monday morning ! “I pretty much come here daily because it's close, and i'm so grateful that i'm close to a good location! The staff is always friendly, the line always moves fast. It's a small Drive thru so sometimes you worry the line is long, but the staff moves it so quickly! I'd say about 90% of the time the staff is super friendly and calls me by name and is kind and personable. My order is almost never wrong, and one time it was, they fixed it immediately and even offered me the incorrectly made beverage for a friend.“

“This is by far the best Starbucks in the area bar none . Everyone from the top management to the baristas are kind, friendly, caring and efficient. I’ve never had an attitude from any of them no matter how complicated my beverage order is. They keep the place clean and safe also. Unfortunately, the Starbucks in Algonquin by the movie theater, and also the one on Randall by Kohl’s has some of the rudest employees. In fact, the one by Kohl’s mopped the floors without squeezing out the mop and there were large puddles of soapy water all over, and I almost fell, even though I was walking extremely slowly. Putting a sign down does not excuse them from liability, but they didn’t seem to care at all about me, or anyone for that matter , and when I expressed my concern that someone can fall, they just rolled their eyes up at me. I am grateful that the Starbucks closest to my home on Algonquin Road and Ryan is Friendly professional and efficient unlike the other ones.“

Always a friendly greeting waiting for me, which is very welcome in this world where being greeted is more and more rare.Even when I order online, I still feel like they care about me as a customer.My favorite food is the dbl bacon breakfast sandwich and the banana nut bread. One of my favorite drinks is the caramel ribbon crunch frapp.I satisfy my dietary needs by using the phone app to customize my drink (i.e. coconut milk instead of cream or milk, decaf espresso, or other add-ins.) Using the app makes me feel confident that my drink order wasn't misheard and saves me the embarrassment and judgement of rattling off my laundry list of preferences.

Dietary restrictions: The app is the perfect way to order a drink according to dietary preferences. The app also shows when the store you're trying to order from is out of certain supplies so you can avoid wasting time.“
