“I went here for the first time today and absolutely loved it! The shop is so cute and cozy. It’s such a calm atmosphere and not overly crowded and busy for a Saturday morning either. The bakery treats were seriously incredibly. So soft, moist, decadent, flavorful, and overall fantastic! I had the best blueberry oat bar and muffin for ever had today! Seriously. They had a ton of vegan options! They were so accommodating to vegans with their options and the staff was very knowledgeable about the options. The barista was incredibly kind, outgoing, and helped my friend and I decide on the vegan treats we wanted. She also ensured we ordered the right drink to fit our needs. She was absolutely amazing! I will definitely be coming here again! Absolutely recommend this adorable shop!“

“My son loved his first time here! It is very well kept and clean. There are separate spaces for both kids who are not yet walking and older kids. He enjoyed a little bit of both. I love that it is very spacious and there are seating areas throughout to sit and watch your children play while enjoying a snack or coffee from the cafe. We will definitely be back!“

“I was told about this new bakery by a friend so I decided to investigate. I was so pleased with all the goods I bought from donuts to danishes to kolacky to bread. So delicious, packaged beautifully and the staff member that attended to me was very knowledgeable about all the items. She was kind enough to share with me her favorites and because of her seeming integrity, knowledge and friendliness, I bought her recommendation. A great addition to Elgin and bakeries.“

“Four cars were in the drive-up, so we went inside to get the Halloween Munchkins Bucket on Sunday. Two people were in line. Only one young girl (Gracie) was working, but she was efficiently going back and forth between waiting on the drive-thru and the inside customers with a great attitude, no less. She apologized and said getting our bucket might take a few minutes because she was the only one working. We had no problem waiting and understood her situation. But we got the bucket quickly because she was very organized. She deserves a raise or bonus for doing that all on her own. Where was the manager? Poor girl should not have had to manage that all on her own.“

“I ordered an Ethiopian pour over, for which they had dark and light roast options. Huge selection of beans from Honduras, Columbia, Guatemala, Sumatra for purchase or pour over. Located unassumingly in the back of an office park. Charming space dedicated purely to making good coffee. Go here over the chains in the area.“

“This is by far the best Starbucks in the area bar none . Everyone from the top management to the baristas are kind, friendly, caring and efficient. I’ve never had an attitude from any of them no matter how complicated my beverage order is. They keep the place clean and safe also. Unfortunately, the Starbucks in Algonquin by the movie theater, and also the one on Randall by Kohl’s has some of the rudest employees. In fact, the one by Kohl’s mopped the floors without squeezing out the mop and there were large puddles of soapy water all over, and I almost fell, even though I was walking extremely slowly. Putting a sign down does not excuse them from liability, but they didn’t seem to care at all about me, or anyone for that matter , and when I expressed my concern that someone can fall, they just rolled their eyes up at me. I am grateful that the Starbucks closest to my home on Algonquin Road and Ryan is Friendly professional and efficient unlike the other ones.“

Always a friendly greeting waiting for me, which is very welcome in this world where being greeted is more and more rare.Even when I order online, I still feel like they care about me as a customer.My favorite food is the dbl bacon breakfast sandwich and the banana nut bread. One of my favorite drinks is the caramel ribbon crunch frapp.I satisfy my dietary needs by using the phone app to customize my drink (i.e. coconut milk instead of cream or milk, decaf espresso, or other add-ins.) Using the app makes me feel confident that my drink order wasn't misheard and saves me the embarrassment and judgement of rattling off my laundry list of preferences.

Dietary restrictions: The app is the perfect way to order a drink according to dietary preferences. The app also shows when the store you're trying to order from is out of certain supplies so you can avoid wasting time.“

“On Tuesday February 13th I was waiting in the drive thru line of cars. When it was my turn to pay the employee tells me that the woman in the car before paid for me. I was like... what? Why? I didn't even know her. She said to him that she didn't know me...but told him to tell me to have a nice day. Wow! That was unbelievable to me! What a wonderful surprise and wonderful thing to do! I wish I could have thanked her! Well thank you to whoever she was! I've never had such a nice gesture done for me. I've shared this story with many people and apparently it's called "pay it forward". I've never heard of it but I'm so glad I know now. I'm going to reciprocate for sure! “10/10 great experience! The lady there was such a sweetheart, she made 3 shakes (cookies and cream, banana caramel, and French vanilla) and had some of the BEST protein donuts I’ve ever had. The donuts are MOIST ? (most I’ve tasted are usually dry) they got vegan options and it’s so close to my home, I can come very early in the mornings! I will most DEFINITELY be coming back after every work out!“

“I place a mobile order on the way to work and it is always ready for me and tastes great. They always say hello. One time I was having a really bad day and I spilled my drink. The manager not only insisted on cleaning it up for me but also comforted me because I was clearly stressed. They are so kind!“

“I hit the drive thru most mornings and the staff is always so nice and accommodating. I mess up my mobile order on occasion and they are happy to make what I forgot. They are also so fast, it's normally a 30 second to 1 minute wait in total before I am on my way again.“
