“The simple stir fries are the best. Mongolian beef to cashew chicken & princess beef. Anything floured easily mushes up. Don’t bother with the egg roll. All made first thing in the morning. Yuk.
All in all, if you stick to the plain stir fries, it’s pretty tasty food. They do screw up carry out orders a lot in the evening, so it’ll be only lunch here.“

“Place not as clean as I would expect a restaurant to be. Got there at 6:30 and already out of zucchini noodles. Many food containers on buffet had other pieces of food in them and sauce area was a mess. Don't anticipate we will be back.“

“My wife and I moved out of Davenport years ago, but throughout the years, we always reminisce, "Hey, remember New China? How we'd eat there every other week and how delicious AND inexpensive it was?" We always wish there was a restaurant like this local to us nowadays, but it's a pipe dream. New China is one of a kind.My wife and I recently visited the QC area and stopped by to grab a bite here out of nostalgia. Prices are still super agreeable. Food quality is 110%. The family that opened and worked it are still there (it was crazy seeing the son all grown up!).This restaurant is one in a billion. My wife got her regular order, as did I, and I'm bittersweetly eating my leftovers as I write this. I hope this restaurant sticks around for years to come, and I pray nothing but good things happen to the family who run it. Thank you guys for all the incredible meals over the years! We're sure to order again when we're next in the area.“

“Very nice, friendly staff and service. Young lady explained the brief confusion on my phone order. Very clear restaurant inside and out, parking easy w/o potholes. Fried Rice was very good, not gummy or lumpy, the beef was delicious w/plenty of of onions. Ohhhh Yeah I'll be back!?????

“I’ve been walking to get my Chinese order for awhile now and no matter how long I take my food is always warm and fresh! The one thing I love is the customer service, they are always so polite and friendly!

“A nice little hidden place for some Chinese food. The food is as good as you would expect, however the portions are very large. ^_^ I ordered the beef with fresh mushrooms, steamed dumplings and a can pepsi. I have more than enough left overs for dinner tonight.
Parking: Not many spots to park in the area from what I was able to see but a decent bit of street parking and a few parking spots.“

“Always a wonderful time! Great owners great staff. Excellent food. We love the hibachi - it always tastes amazing and it makes for such good leftovers! Cant forget the yum yum sauce! You get so much food for such a good price! Their ginger sauce on their salads is so so food. A must go to place especially with friends! Dinner and a show!“

“I moved to Rock Island 2 months ago meaning I had to find a new favorite Chinese Restaurant near me. I tried a few nearby and was getting worried because the I found were at most, mediocre. Then one day I stopped here to get some Egg Drop Soup for my sick boyfriend.I love Egg Drop Soup when I am ill so I figured he would too, but luckily for me, that was not his thing so I was able to consume it. It was spectacular.I returned to grab some dinner about a week or so later so I could see if the meals were as good as the soup. This time, I came home with Szechuan Shrimp. That is an old favorite but ever since the old Dragon House in Davenport closed, I had yet to find a place that could compare to their version. Until now! I devoured the meal entirely which is very unusual but I ate every bite as my other half watched in amazement at how food could send his girlfriend into such euphoria.Then, our roommate and I headed up to the place again the other night. We each purchased a meal, soup and some fired wontons. We took it home and another homer with the food.Oriental express has now officially become my go-to for Chinese cuisine. The other places in the neighborhood are not horrible, it is just that they cannot match the food perfection nor are they nearly as friendly as the beautiful girl who has waited on me every time. She is amazing herself.I do not know what the plans are for the dining room here. It is hidden by plastic tarps hanging and that does give the place a very odd "ambiance". I hope that is not a permanent look for them but even if it is, I will still get my Chinese cravings satisfied here. I recommend you do the same!“
“I've tried chinese food several places in Davenport and this spot had the best tasting and hottest freshest food (food wasnt like 3 day old jerky chicken) I love Chinese and if u want ur Chinese food to taste right and not be old and jerkyfied this is where I'd go if I were u.“

“Staff: The staff greeted us and sat us right away. The places wasn’t busy for lunch time. We ordered out drinks and received them fast. The kind lady working had a big smile and was very friendly.Building: It was clean and spacious.Food: The food was great. Just the right amount for a lunch meal and for the price.Speed: food came out in a fast amount of time.Star rating: 5 stars because of the service and food.
