“Tonight I decided to venture out and try this restaurant my family has been RAVING about called Al’s Cafe in Downtown Elgin! I sat upstairs and had this lovely server named Marcie! She recommended the monthly special called “Moonstruck” and it was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! The ambience, service and food is unmatched! If you are looking for a great night out I highly recommend Al’s Cafe!“

“Our wedding was on 8/18/2023 and we are still so happy from the perfect day. From the minute we started our tour at Pinstripes with Shannon Schurr, my husband and I knew Pinstripes was going to be the perfect place for our wedding reception. We toured a few other venues, but Pinstripes was perfect. Shannon was so responsive and answered all of our questions along the way. The food tasting was lovely as well and it was a great chance to try all the food and feel confident at our choices. From the tour to the tasting to the reception, everything was seamless and magical. All of our guests absolutely raved about the reception venue and all the wedding guests mentioned it was the most fun wedding reception they have ever been at. The food and drink options were fantastic! We had bowling during our cocktail hour (with socks and bowling shoes included for all guests) and bocci courts open after dinner, which was a huge hit. We reserved the all-seasons outside space, which was well worth the little additional money, and the firepits and decorations (including the flowered backdrop) were a big hit and we didn’t even need to buy any decorations because it was set up so beautifully. The service was excellent throughout the whole night and the linens turned out prettier than we could have pictured! There was also a cool stand for the cake to be displayed while we were cutting it. Many of our guests now frequent for bowling and dinner at Pinstripes and my husband and I do the same.“

“I’ve eaten at Bleuroot twice when traveling through Chicago for hockey trips. Every bite has been phenomenal and there have been many “Oh you’ve got to try this” shared plates. The staff are amazing and this is a place where it’s okay to be loud and boisterous and joyful. Thanks to Maria and the crew for a great experience (and excellent customer service mailing me back a pair of prescription sunglasses I left on the table!). “This was my second ever visit in three weeks, both because of events at Arcada. My first visit, which was on a Saturday, was great! My friend and I were promptly waited on, the server was informative and attentive and our food came out quickly. My second visit was a little less impressive. The restaurant was quite full and understaffed. We were given water right away, but waited quite awhile until our server returned to get our drink order. Then again to get our food order. Thankfully the food came out quickly, as we were already running late for the start of the show. As the first visit, there are absolutely no complaints about our entrees. The food was very good!! Looking forward to another show and visit to the restaurant to try something new yet again.“

“My friend and I really enjoyed the Mexican Pappardelle. We had some issues with food our last 3 times there, but Montana, our waiter, remembered us and make sure the food arrived hot. I enjoyed the Petite Syrah, which won an award at the Illinois Fair.. Service from Montana was great, too.“

“This is where the locals go to get away from the tourists at Portillos. The beef sandwich 's are award winning, cheese fries and the Homemade Green Pepper Soup from Scratch is super Yummy!
