“We visited The Graceful Ordinary in downtown St. Charles, IL, on a warm late September day. We had a wonderful experience at Graceful Ordinary, one that's hard to match outside of Chicago. From its comfortable yet elegant design to the unique menu, every detail was carefully considered. The food was delicious and thoughtfully presented, and the service was excellent. We were fortunate to visit on a very warm day towards the end of September. We sat on the fully screened-in veranda and enjoyed the scenery in comfort. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a unique, elevated dining experience; no matter where you're traveling from, it's worth the trip.“

“My wife and I had lunch today at The Office, and it was fantastic. We sat outside, and the whole outdoor setup was perfect. The food was excellent, and the service truly made the whole experience unforgettable. Peyton was our server, and he could not have been more friendly, attentive, and welcoming. “Oh my goodness. You have to try this new restaurant. Open less than a week, but they really have it together. Went as group of four and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their food. Three of us don’t eat meat. We were shocked by all the options we had. We decided to share so we could taste as many different dishes as possible. We enjoyed 2 appetizers, Tetela and Crostinis. Both were wonderful , but the fan favorites were the Crostinis with focaccia bread, roasted brussel sprouts, burrata cheese foam, hazelnuts, pesto, truffle honey, and basaltic glaze. The apple and beets salad was wonderful, as was our main coarse, cauliflower steak. My meat eating husband loved his Wagyu burger. We finished with the rice pudding and coconut desserts. They were both amazing and the presentation was beautiful, with edible greens and flowers. Chef Christian and his wife Sarah graciously explained everything. Their pride in this new venture was obvious. I strongly suggest you check out Enigma before it’s discovered and you can’t get a reservation.“

“The food is amazing but the service is top notch! I went here recently with my mom who needed accommodations due to recent surgeries and they went above and beyond making her feel welcome even when she wasn't quite confident dining out yet. They were SO accommodating with the menu and made us feel right at home. The hostess was so sweet; we were so appreciative! & the food was delicious! I loved my chicken kebabs and we both loved the lemon chicken soup! Plus the lunch specials are huge portions at such a fair price! We will definitely be returning!“

“The staff have been really rude to me ever since I pointed out that my tab was wrong and I was overcharged. I wasn't upset about the double charges, I just wanted them corrected. I've barely been waited on since then it seems. I tried to step in a help once when a patron had been over served. It wasn't welcomed at all. I was given the same look as I get when I walk up to the bar to get a drink. Too bad, it's really close to home to me. I haven't been in over a year and have no plans on returning.“

“My current favorite spot for breakfast. If it weren't an hour away from me, my family and I would be regulars. This is the first place I've come across with fresh and mostly all-natural ingredients that still delivers a classic breakfast experience. The breakfast burrito, salt and vinegar cracklins, honey biscuits, fried green tomatoes and honey bun pancakes are to die for. I love that they have house made recipes for ketchup and 100% pure maple syrup. This place comes highly recommended.“
