“We visited The Graceful Ordinary in downtown St. Charles, IL, on a warm late September day. We had a wonderful experience at Graceful Ordinary, one that's hard to match outside of Chicago. From its comfortable yet elegant design to the unique menu, every detail was carefully considered. The food was delicious and thoughtfully presented, and the service was excellent. We were fortunate to visit on a very warm day towards the end of September. We sat on the fully screened-in veranda and enjoyed the scenery in comfort. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a unique, elevated dining experience; no matter where you're traveling from, it's worth the trip.“

“The staff have been really rude to me ever since I pointed out that my tab was wrong and I was overcharged. I wasn't upset about the double charges, I just wanted them corrected. I've barely been waited on since then it seems. I tried to step in a help once when a patron had been over served. It wasn't welcomed at all. I was given the same look as I get when I walk up to the bar to get a drink. Too bad, it's really close to home to me. I haven't been in over a year and have no plans on returning.“

“What a great experience! First we are greeted with a smile and felt very welcomed. The restaurant was busy, but our wait time was only around 10 minutes as promised.
Our waitress Myra greeted us with a smile and did an outstanding job. Giving us time to look over the menu and providing recommendations. We were served water immediately and the pitcher was left on the table. Breakfast was ordered along with Coffee and the coffee pot was also left on the table for easy refills. During the meal Myra checked in often to see if we needed anything and if everything was good. I highly recommend the honey biscuits with raspberry jelly as an appetizer. We ordered the French toast, pancakes, and eggs and all were delicious. The prices were as expected. Visit Buttermilk in Geneva and you will not be disappointed. The area is also nice for a walk along the Fox River. A+ A+ A+“
