“Food was pretty good for the most part, but prices were kinda hefty for a burger and fries was $16.00 , Drinks were ok. But my blue moon was Luke warm. Not cold. Atmosphere was dead! Completely dead. It's too bad cuz I live 6 minutes away. This place needs a complete make over and daily specials to bring in customers. Not sure how this place stays in business as long as it has!!! Our server was great she was spot on, restaurant was clean and hostess asked where we wanted to be seated was honest this area can be loud, appreciative of that! “Instant favorite. My review is for the restaurant - Danny Boys. I 'found' this place while biking a few years ago. Was sitting across the street taking a breather when I spotted the restoration of this building. I believe they've been open for a while now, but we finally managed to stop in with some friends last night. The menu was slightly different there than the one I saw online, but the in-house menu seemed to have more options. Either way, they have a wide variety of choices ranging from burgers to traditional German plates to tacos, which I ordered. This was a group of three terrific taco's and a side of rice that will make me go back for more. My son had the plate of dumplings which I tried, also just as good. The service here was quick and very friendly. We're interested to come back in the summer when the outdoor patio is open. Cheers.“
“What a gem!The view of the river from the patio was absolutely lovely. Twinkle lights to boot.Danny's Beef was the best beef sandwich I've ever had. The meat was so flavorful, one slice of cheese was the perfect amount, the bread was fluffy and crispy in all the right spots. The put the juice on the side, but the meat still had some moisture to it. I like mine on the drier side so this was perfect.Their french fries were also on point!The place had been busy with Oktoberfest so they were juggling post-festing with hosting their later guests, and they did phenomenal. Positive attitudes abound.I went yesterday, I want to go back to tonight. And again and again. Thank you for a delicious time!“

“My wife and I love this place! We've been on and off regulars for a few years now, and it just feels like our very own Cheers. We started coming for the beer and cocktails from the fully stocked bar because it's so close to home, and the atmosphere and quality food choices on the menu drew us back for more. TOn top of that, the entire staff here are so welcoming and friendly. These are good people running a fantastic business like nothing we've ever found anywhere else in this area. We always bring our family and friends whenever they come to visit. Strongly recommend, two thumbs up!!“

Very cool dark but warm welcoming vibe with some nice deco.Server was very friendly, recommended some stuff and also personable. His recommendations were awesome.Food was amazing. For starters I had the chips and dip and the Brussel sprouts. And omg I could not get enough. Brussels sprouts were cooked amazingly with some sweet chili sauce. Crispy and flavorful , they didn’t even need it. Chips were cooked to perfection and dip was some sort of French onion creamy dip. Quite a bit of food for a cheap appetizer.Main meal was awesome. I got their cheeseburger. But it wasn’t just a regular one it had cooked onions, their special peppery burger sauce, cheese and pickles. Double smash burger. Very big burger and super flavorful. Filled me up and was a high quality burger. I opted for their creamy mashed potatoes as my side and was not anywhere near disappointed. Perfect amount of saltiness where it didn’t need anything extra, and super creamy and great texture .For desert I went with the donut holes and coffee ganache dip. Incredible. The way the coffee was a bit bitter as a dipping for the cinnamon fried donut holes was chefs kiss. It’s hard to nail every course in a 3 course meal but they did it. “This is a great old school place to stop for lunch. The food is really good and it is evident in the amount of carry-out orders oing out the door during the lunchtime rush. They actually have a "Horseshoe" of the Springfield fame on the menu.“
“This was my first visit here, and initially, I was somewhat puzzled about where to go. However, the hostess was exceptionally welcoming and kind, taking the time to guide me through both areas. Upon entering, you find the restaurant to the right and, to the left, a bar along with a venue for live music. I visited on a Saturday night specifically for the live performance by Semple Band, and it was incredible. There was a $15 entry fee, payable in cash only. I hadn't brought any cash, but fortunately, there was an ATM right at the entrance, which was convenient. Inside the live music venue, there are two floors and plenty of space for dancing. There were lots of tables and seatings available, but you have to grab them quickly as they're first come, first served. The live music venue opens at 7:45 PM. Both the bartenders and the staff were amiable and efficient. I thoroughly enjoyed the roundhouse burger with waffle fries, priced at $16, and the beef nachos for $20. Both dishes were scrumptious, and I'd definitely order them again. The live band was fantastic, and I met many wonderful people. I had a great time at this venue.“
