***PRIVATE CLUB*** If you weren't invited, you will not be let in. It's been that way since the 1800's. Great place with great people. If you have the opportunity to be invited, you should definitely go and enjoy the lineage. Not many places left that run solely from the charity and hard work of the members to upkeep such an amazing place with such history.
When you think private club of any kind, you already have an expectation of not belonging, even at events hosting the public.
That couldn't be farther from the truth. Genuinely good people, doing good things, making everyone feel welcome.

Have been to many events here and have even hosted events at the Elgin Riverside Club, always a class act!
