Astonishing that it's still around. I was 10 when it opened in 1948 and to get a double decker at HH was close to heaven. Across the street was Prince Castle, long gone, where you could get a slider for much less money. HH was a splurge and it's wonderful to see it live today.

No indoor dining but has seats outside but located on busy corner. Food is cooked to order so it was hot and fresh. My pizza burger was laking flavor though. Fries were crinkle cut. Some were burnt but others were just fried once. Diet coke was ok and the rootberr float was good. They have bathrooms but I am not sure if they are wheelchair accesible. This is a very old hamburger joint that seems to be frequented by locals for the food and ice cream. Give it a try if your in Elmhurst.
