“Great dining experience today! We came towards the end of the night and the staff was friendly and kind. Service was fast and the vegan ramen was incredible. (I subbed in regular noodles and added an egg) My sister got the regular ramen and said it was some of the best pork she had ever had in ramen.

“This is the only ramen I've ever had that is beef based and I definitely recommend everyone try it because it is different from your pork/chicken based. While it was delicious, I prefer a pork based broth with bork belly. I was very happy that you could get corn and onions in it as those are some of my favorite ramen toppings and the noodles were outstanding.“

“Sat at the counter so I could watch the action. Such a well run kitchen and happy staff. Top tier Toki highballs. I had the December special which was lobster wonton and it was delightful. A perfect marriage of ramen and lobster bisque. The wontons are made in house and had perfect texture. Same with the noodles. Easily the best ramen in Chicago.“

“I decided to check out this local ramen restaurant which is right next to Thorndale train station. I ordered the Tonkotsu spicy ramen and I must say it was delicious.

The only critique is that I only got 2 pieces of meat, and the bowl did not have much veggies in it like your average ramen spot. However, it was pretty good and I’ll definitely visit again.“

“Best Sushi Restaurant on the planet. Not only was all the food superior than any other Sushi restaurant I've been to. My family and I had a feast.(I mean all the food was good). Very reasonable prices as well. The most astonishing fact about this restaurant was the host (Quam) his amazing knowledge of food and customer service was unlike any other. The Ice cream desert was mind blowing. You don't have to take my word for it, but I guarantee you, you won't find another Sushi restaurant in the city of Chicago as good this one. The ambiance of this establishment is very warm and pleasant. I highly recommend this place for family gatherings, and with people you want to share a special food feast with. “Tofu bun, fried rice and edamame hummus were great, in fact first time I had tried such a hummus and it's highly recomendable! I would have given the food a better rating if it wasn't for the spice level in the ramen. I ordered the tan-tan san, which indicated it has a kick of spice in it. When asking about the spice level, I was told that they would makse sure that it wasn't as spicy by not adding any kimchi or oil. As soon as I tried it, this was not the case as it was way too spicy to eat.“

“I dined at Neko Sushi and tried their tuna and avocado fried rolls, and they are the reason I’ve already been back three times in the past two weeks since finding this neighborhood gem. My fiancé ordered the shrimp in a blanket and they were perfectly crispy and packed with flavor. I had the ramen both times and it was absolutely delicious. My fiancé tried the pad thai with shrimp on one visit and the basil shrimp fried rice on another, and both dishes were full of flavor and so satisfying. Neko Sushi has quickly become one of our favorites. Everything we’ve tried has been consistently fresh and tasty. Oh and they are BYOB!“

“I have loved this spot since it opened. Every time I come the service is great, and so is the food. The belt is included in the all you can eat which is so convenient, and the tempura is top notch. I highly recommend getting the roll with apple in it because it’s not something you see a lot elsewhere, and it adds just a little fresh crunch.“

Oh my goodness. whoever's recipe that is, please give them a massive hug for me right now and say thank you because that was the most delicious thing I've had in so long. What a TREAT! these folks have somehow managed to incorporate happiness as an ingredient in their food, so when you eat it, All the happiness particles travel through your body for 24 to 48 hours and you feel extremely satisfied and fulfilled. you might miss the ramen afterwards, and you might end up having dreams about it like I do but trust me, they're pleasant dreams.“

“I had the coconut curry pho. It was a delicious noodle soup that hit the spot! With a 20% tip, it was about $23. It was definitely pricey but I saw a sign that they provide free meals to children on Mondays. Reading the reviews, I know people were definitely using this offering. If some of my payment went to feeding a child in my community, I was happy to spend it.

“The widest selection of Sushi grade seafood Ive seen on a menu in a Long time- all very fresh and very generously portioned! Octopus and salmon Sashimi were the dessert orders from our kids 😂 We will definetly be returning, and highly recommend. Servers, Host, Owner, entire staff was extremely attentive- and to top it all they were happily and safely able to accomodate my childs severe dairy and peanut allergies (first sushi experience for him, and we Love seafood, so huge win for the whole family 🙌🏼)“

-ramen and poke options
-friendly staff

Cons:
-Poke bowls are small and they skimp on pretty much every single ingredient
-ingredients are old, oftentimes still a little frozen when they are served
-boba itself is pretty mid
-non optional tipping system when paying- if you don’t want to leave an electronic tip, you have to manually put in 0

Honestly the only reason I come to this location is because it’s the only poke and boba place within easy walking distance.“

“Been coming to Yatai frequently for about two years now, and every time it meets or exceeds my expectations. Service is quick and the workers are kind and check in on you frequently to make sure you have everything you need. Prices are fair especially for the portions (rice bowls, fried rice, noodle dishes, etc). My personal favorites from the menu are the crab rangoons and the crunchy sweet potato tempura rolls! BYOB and they’ll provide glasses if you need them! Absolutely love this place, cannot recommend it enough.“
