OMG I was super skeptical at first because I’m A very funny eater and I have to be careful of where I eat due to stomach issues but babe the food was fresh the ox tails was delicious the barbecue jerk chicken was simply amazing falling off of the bone meat was very juicy. Nothing was dry about the meat. The rice and beans were tender, and I believe they put the oxtail over butter beans I had the fried plantain crazy thing is I don’t even eat that but I did from here cuz it was fye🔥 the food was seasoned just right, not too spicy I really enjoyed this meal. I can go on and on and on, but I’m gonna end it here if you haven’t tried it go try it and those that know we know Period!!!!!!

the service was really bad, my order was not what i ordered. i asked for an all white meal with sauce on the side. i received all dark, soaked in sauce. when i tried telling the young lady that took my order, the cook came from the being very confrontational about their error. it was only my 2nd time visiting this place. it's definitely my last i'll continue patronize Good To Go, at the very least they get your order right. i wish that i could give them negative zeros ??????????

Vegetarian options: I called and asked for Baba because my caretaker went there and got a business card spoke to him about me and he said to call.. When they were opened I called and asked for him. He answered asking me why did I need to know who I was speaking with .. I am a soft spoken person and this man gives Jamaicans a really bad name because I am Jamaican..He literally barked at me in the the most loud and unkind manner. Never in my entire life have I spoken to someone so nasty! I have horrible food allergies so was asking questions like I do with other restaurants.I have an epi pens with me at all times in the event I have a bad reaction to foods etc.. I cannot eat salted pork that some restaurants put in their soups..I am able to have the regular soups but not the meat - nutrients is cooked out as everyone knows and i can have that . I said I don't eat meat and his response was then I should not be calling if I don't eat meat and hung up on me. I hope he is not the owner ! He is a very nasty, unkind man. Disrespectful in all areas. My health issues causes me to be careful with foods. He just did not give me a chance to speak.. I cannot walk so not able to go into the restaurant . Learn to be nice! Shame on you! If you don't like yourself or your job you should not be there. I spend 180$ a week on food for the past two and a half years you would have had a weekly customer! No where in Jamaica have I had anyone at a restaurant speak to me in that manner! Not a place to spend my money. The person that cooks for me is not in Chicago currently, therefore, I was shopping around . You need an attitude adjustment ! You are on the low spectrum on the list of being a human being!

I placed a take out order over the phone. The woman who took my order and was at the counter when I picked up was really pissed off, and also (maybe purposefully) messed up the order. First I ordered goat curry. Then I tried to order a side of fried plantains, and she said, “It comes with plantains.” I said, “The goat curry comes with plantains?”. She then was like, “EVERY ENTRE COMES WITH PLANTAINS!”. I don’t know why she was so mad, I was totally polite. Just trying to order food. Then when I got home and opened up the box, THERE WAS ONLY ONE PLANTAIN. I think the only reasonable explanation is she told them to put one plantain just to spite me. But why? Not once did I say anything mean. I just ordered my food, asked a few questions about the food while I ordered, and then picked up the food. And by the way, she was angry when I picked up the food too. Like what did I do to you? Take your money elsewhere.

It's really sad how black of every nation can not be on time. We traveled all the way from Calumet City to get food and there's a sign on the door saying that they won't be opened until 1:30 today. This is a business with business hours. I certainly hope the food is worth the wait.
