“I had ordered the sausage & Italian beef slices with fries and I had a great conversation with the man up front while I waited. I was satisfied with the slices I received and the fresh fries that were made from me. Overall great experience?.“

“These guys have been on my list for a while and it was worth the wait. THIS IS PIZZA. Bridgeport phils still has my heart but this place just bumped into the 2/3 spot for me. TOP 3 Chicago pizzeria.

Crust: this is what did it for me. The crust was a perfect thickness and kept its structure/ crisp throughout the whole pizza

Sauce: they’re cooking down their own sauce I believe. It’s got a touch of that fresh tomato sweetness. Nothing over powering, just a great classic sauce

Sausage/cheese: high quality Battaglia products. Traditional cheese blend and good sausage. Nothing crazy in this category but definitely brings their pizza together

“On August 1 at about 7pm I entered Barraco’s. I stood for about 5 to 8 minutes waiting for a hosts to come greet me and my family to be seated. I had my husband walk over to the bar to ask for a host to seat us. While waiting two other people came in and we all stood for another 5 to 8 minutes waiting on a host to arrive. Once the host came and seated us our waiter Joe took over from there. Joe took drink orders, appetizer, and food orders. For drinks I order the pomegranate martini which was OUTSTANDING. For an appetizer we ordered the oysters, Rockefeller they were average. Seemed undercooked because not all the spinach was cooked all the way. For entree we ordered a large pizza half cheese half pepperoni sausage bell peppers onions and mushrooms. After getting the appetizer Joe never returned to ask us how it was and if we needed anything. I had to stop another waiter to ask for napkins. When he finally did come back I made him aware and he said he was servicing 5 other tables. Joe began to set the table and almost dropped the pizza holder and crush peppers on me. When the pizza came out it was wrong he served us a whole pizza with pepperoni sausage bell peppers etc. it was a bummer for my family because I have a 7 year and a one year old. Who didn’t eat that. He apologized but didn’t rectify the issue. It was pass 8 pm now and my family was unsatisfied and I watched as my kids basically threw the slices away by picking off everything. Joe was very apologetic and gave us oysters to go but at 9 pm what can oysters do for my family but sit in the refrigerator. I love this pizza place. I may stick to carry out. For this to be my first experience and I told my husband I wanted to dine in to see the ambience from the inside I was highly disappointed.“

We could tell there were regulars seated all around us. The owner came to our table to ask us about everything as well. Our server was Demi & she was top notch.“

“Its been decades since I had a breaded steak sandwich. To give you perspective, last time I had a breaded steak sandwich was in early 1990s when there was a Ricobenes on Lake Street in The Loop, at street level, downstairs from a Nevada Bob’s. If you know about this, then you are Gen X!!

This place was recommended by a close friend and it was fantastic!!! It’s a solid 4.6⭐️s!!

From what I recall, this breaded steak sandwich is just about as tasty as I have had since Ricobenes. Tony’s is excellent and messy as I have expected. Its very filling and well worth the price.

Also tried their italian beef, which was very good indeed. Balanced spices and saltiness was all there!!! But I do have my favorites that I lean on when I really need a fixin!!! But this was very good nonetheless.

This neighborhood joint is small and has limited seating, but the friendly staff made the dine-in meal a pleasant experience, albeit a bit confined. Most patrons order take-away. Will try to make it out again next time I am in the Midway area.“

“This neighborhood gem in Bridgeport was top notch on everything I've tasted here. Excellent food, excellent service and nice atmosphere. The flavor was just decadent. We started with some awesome Stuffed Clams. For the entrees we had Chicken Marsala, Chicken Parmigiano, Chicken Rositto with spinach. A beautiful meal was complete with desserts of Tiramasu, Gelato and Flour less Chocolate Cake. The experience ended with me in a totally blissful food coma. Thank you 😊 Gios!“

“I am in absolute amazement. I had one of the most amazing dining experience at Ignotz. Our dinner plans changed last minute and we searched for an alternative. We knew it was going to be somewhat difficult to find an option in the city on a Saturday night. Well! Let me just say I called Ignotz and they accommodated us last minute. We were celebrating my mom’s birthday and oh boy! They make you feel like you are an old friend who they have know for years. All the staff and diners sing along and make it a celebration! I was confused. Asked the register lady if she charged me for two and she said no they cut the slice in half and it comes with an extra can of pop. Was charged $14 bucks. Not what I ordered. I had leftovers the next day and even warming up, the meat was still tender and juicy. My husband had vodka sauce pizza with sausage and that was delicious too. Can’t wait to go back and try more yummy dishes from Punky’s.“
