“These guys have been on my list for a while and it was worth the wait. THIS IS PIZZA. Bridgeport phils still has my heart but this place just bumped into the 2/3 spot for me. TOP 3 Chicago pizzeria.

Crust: this is what did it for me. The crust was a perfect thickness and kept its structure/ crisp throughout the whole pizza

Sauce: they’re cooking down their own sauce I believe. It’s got a touch of that fresh tomato sweetness. Nothing over powering, just a great classic sauce

Sausage/cheese: high quality Battaglia products. Traditional cheese blend and good sausage. Nothing crazy in this category but definitely brings their pizza together

“We had friends in town for the night and knew we would get a good meal and experience at Gaia. We sat outside so had to pause conversation for the passing BNSF and Metra trains, but that is all part of the ambiance. We had the arrancini special appetizer which had the perfect ratio of rice to filling. I had the halibut, and it was perfectly prepared with a piccata sauce and angel hair. Our friends enjoyed that the staff is familiar and all welcoming which adds to the neighborhood feel.“

Located in the Heart of Chicago, this restaurant has some of the finest dishes outside of downtown Chicago, with arguably the best lasagna in the city, as well as some of the best calamari and baked clams, and not to mention the tiramisu. I heard they make other good pastas, some excellent chicken and veal dishes, as well as a phenomenal Lake Superior Whitefish, which I would love to try! There are many amazing Italian restaurants in Chicago, and Bacchanalia is one of them! Go try it! You won’t be disappointed!“

I always get delivery and the food is always hot, on time, and delicious. On top of that, their prices are extremely resonable, especially in today's economy. I had a one hour layover in midway, and my gate was in another concourse. I felt like it was a small gamble to eat there and make it across the airport in time. But the service was simply top-notch!

The food was good too! The chicken tenders felt like Costco chicken tenders, but they were prepared well. The best part? The chicken wings! Order that appetizer because you won't regret it! The wings were huge for chicken wings! Everyone one had a good deal of meat on them. Really impresses that those giant wings were hiding in an airport.“

Freddy’s is like I went back to 1990’s St.Calistus St.Joseph’s table. Stop in the Food Service and Establishment all live up to its promises. You can not have a bad meal here.

“We came here as a large group of 15 and the staff did a great job setting up tables outdoors quickly to accommodate us. The pizza itself was very good, and we all enjoyed the food. Our server seemed fairly new but was really putting in the effort, which we appreciated.

The only downside was that someone nearby was smoking, which took away from the experience since we had a pregnant guest and four very young children with us. The Smoke-Free Illinois Act applies to all outdoor eating and drinking areas, making it illegal to smoke there if employees are present to serve food which they were. The staff did not enforce this law which we felt they should have. We hope management can train their staff on this issue and that the staff enforce it.

All in all it was a good outing and the place has a lot of potential for families and groups.“

Even though the restaurant was busy, she took such great care of us, made sure we had everything we needed, and even brought a kids’ menu for my child with so much patience. After the meal, she surprised us with delicious green mint chocolates, which my child loved so much that they asked to come back again next time. I’m certain this will become one of my favorite restaurants. The only downside is that it’s a 30-minute drive from my home, but it’s totally worth it. The food is delicious and affordable, the atmosphere is warm and comfortable, and every visit leaves me in a great mood. Highly recommend!“
