“AG catered for my friend's celebration of life at VFW Canton. One of the best catering jobs for food presentation and service! The fried chicken was moist and so delicious. Mac salad, mashed potatoes, coleslaw and desserts were well executed and perfect temps. We went to restaraunt for dinner. The menu is so diverse. This time, chicken wrap and cauliflower. (Usually, tenderloin!) All options are great options!“

“I took my beautiful darling love of my life out for her birthday there and was very impressed with the exquisite tasty dinner. I had the maple salmon and she had the pork chops, OH so GOOD! I also had 2 cocktails, IM A BEER drinker, can not think of the name of drink but was so darn tasty, it had pomegranate, vodka, etc ohh so GOOD! Plus dessert, a bread caramel pudding, TOO DIE FOR! AND YES I WILL BE BACK AGAIN ON NEXT SURPRISING EVENT! OH AND THE WAITRESS WAS ON TOP OF HER GAME, EXCELLANT SERVICE! WHAT A WAY TO START 2024!“
“Friends of ours told us about this place but we've never been because we're not in Farmington very often. It was well worth the 40 minute drive and we'd recommend it too. A real local family restaurant with the feel of a Wisconsin supper club. We didn't have any brandy old fashioned's but our cocktails were served in mason jars. We had the combo appetizer which includes your choice of three of the various options (mostly fried). We had the mozz logs (mozzarella sticks), bullets (jalapeño poppers) and clams. The clams were by far the star of these options. The house salads were basic but served on chilled plates with homemade dressings that you don't see much of anymore and they were perfect. We ordered chicken alfredo, raviolis with meat sauce and the walleye. Chicken alfredo was not your cookie cutter dish found anywhere, it was generous on chicken and plenty of flavor other than the sauce. The walleye was two nice size pieces that were thicker and more like mass produced cod filets. I'm more of a fan of the thinner filets that curl up when they're fried but the flavor and batter were perfect. The star of the entrees was the ravioli with meat sauce. I'm sure this is how Nonne Scapecchi built her following when they opened over 25 years ago (We think she's the one who greeted us and showed us to our table). Be sure to save room for one of their homemade desserts too. We shared their butterfinger cake and it was delicious. Our server, Tina, was very friendly and accurate with her advice about our menu questions. Bring your cash or use their ATM in the bar for $3 despite what Yelp says on this listing they're cash only. No need for reservations unless you're a party of six or more. We'd recommend this place too if you're looking for something off the beaten path and local with homemade items throughout the menu. We'll definitely be back!“

“We hadn’t been several years, but it’s just as good as I remembered. I had chicken gizzards & spaghetti, and my husband had the bluegill. The spaghetti tasted just like it did 30 years ago when we first started going. The gizzards were delicious (which is the real reason I went there), and my husband bluegill was amazing. There was plenty of food, and the service is always great!“

“Not all small town cafes are created equal. Fairview Cafe trumped them all! Service was great, and this was right at lunch time, first day of shotgun season. But service was still wonderful. Food was piping hot and just delicious! Extremely well priced, too. I love about 30 minutes from this town, but I will definitely go back.“
