“This is my fav Chinese food spot around town. Their tofu is cooked well and everything always tastes great. Service is pretty quick too. I think most people order takeout but dining in is pretty chill too. Also, their prices are pretty reasonable. A lot of food that I usually end up taking home.“

“My husband and I stopped into NoodleBird while visiting Logan Square, and we’re so glad we did. Everything we ate and drank was absolutely delicious. The Pork & Ginger Dumplings, Charcoal Chicken, and Ginger Lemon & Turmeric Soda were all standouts and definitely worth ordering. I also loved the thoughtful detail of the owner’s grandparents’ photos on the bathroom doors. It was such a sweet, personal touch. We’re already looking forward to eating here again the next time we’re in Chicago.“

We had curry with rice, drunken noodles, and two orders of “chef’s gone crazy”—the chef cooked whatever he wanted for us and they were both pleasant surprises! Everything was delicious, and I have to say that their 3/5 spice level is a pretty solid 3/5. You could definitely taste the spiciness, but it wasn’t the main star of the show. If you like your food spicy, I’d say even go higher.“

“Viet fusion has brought me back to Vietnam. Fresh ingredients you can TASTE! The owner is so wonderful and very friendly! Ordered the FAMOUS bahn mi(viet fusion bahn mi), I kept hearing about and let me say.. this is one of the best sandwiches I’ve had in a long time. Fresh, crispy and delicious. Presentation was amazing as well. Bread was soft and I wanted to order another LOL. Pho here is traditional and I can say the servings are large! Don’t be shy to ask what’s in the soup! Drink menu is also available just have to ask! I will be back! So happy I finally went in to try.“

“Jaiyen is a total neighborhood gem! The sushi is always fresh, but this is actually one of my favorite places to get beef teriyaki—the meat is incredibly tasty and the sauce is perfect. Whether you're dining in or grabbing takeout, the quality is consistently great. Highly recommend!“

“The place has constant turnover, which is good. There are a lot of Thais so you know it'll be good. The change their menu weekly, so follow their IG. Staff is super nice. It's more of an in and out kind of place. Water is available for you to grab yourself. The food and beverages are delicious!!!! All the food is fantastic that we tried.“

“Love this place. Pot stickers, egg drop soup and egg rolls are my go-to’s. The husband favors the orange chicken.

UPDATE: this place is under new ownership and the food all tastes very different to me. The husband still loves this restaurant and thinks some of the food is improved; I tried the new eggrolls and they were a salt bomb.“

“It's a little restaurant and there aren't many seats but the food is excellent! I've had the General Tsaos Chicken, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Mongolian Beef, and the Chop Suey and every time it's made perfect! They take their time with every dish and it tastes fresh and hot! The Makunouchi (Unagi) is easily among the most outstanding I've ever eaten, maybe even the best. Such a delightful presentation and true to the traditional bento & Ekiben forms, where you discover hidden items as you eat & each side dish feels fresher & more delicious than the last. Feels like a very generously-portioned (in case you're doubting the price tag) home cooked meal prepared and packed by someone with a rare amount of intention & care for not just how the food will taste, but how well it will travel. You can feel the that the chef wants your meal to be a joyful experience filled with little surprises. Truly a new favorite meal of mine in the city that I plan to order again and again.“
