“My favorite brewery! Really friendly service, and delicious fresh cold brews from the refreshing Grapefruit Raddler, smooth layers, to darker, stronger and different beers for any taste.

The smattering of food is great from sharing a pizza with friends to noshing a soft pretzel on your own pizza (really though, big enough for a 4 person snack).

The outside area is bigger every year and a great place to meet people!

And Spiteful is a great neighbor. They are always supporting Bowmanville and the surrounding area.“

“We recently attended an engagement party at Goldie’s. The party was originally scheduled as an outdoor event but was forced to go inside at the last minute. Goldie’s ownership allowed the party to use their location, opened early and provided bar service for all attendees. All with less than 24 hours notice! Claire, the bartender, came in early and was exceptional. Highly recommend for special events or to just stop in for a drink!“

“The karaoke on Sunday is a lot of fun! The man who runs it has a lot of music! In the beginning if it is slow he will let people do a few songs in a row. But he is also very fair. So once it’s getting busy he will space it out and get everyone in but I have never been to a place that would allow that. He is a great singer himself so I guess he enjoys taking care of people and allowing them to warm up when it’s slow. That’s cool! And the people who come are damn good singers and nice. There are no divas here but some damn good talent. A rare gem!“

Live music most weekends, outdoors in the summer in a large parking lot. Everybody who knows, goes there. John & Sparklyn are good people!“

“This distressed traveler on a scooter, needing to pee, a beer, cigarette, and an electric outlet. Heard of, knew of Bucktown Pub 🍻 from passing by. This was my first time in. Ordered my beer. Told of my dilemma about having a nearly dead battery on a scooter And was in search of and permission for using an electrical outlet that was met by very many ears, one of them spoke up and said, there is an outlet right there. I asked if I could use it, and someone else (who I'd not met until they were on their way out) gave his permission. Immediately it felt comfortable, at home, welcomed. Later on, I was met by the tamale guy and man oh man this guy better not go anywhere! some of the greatest tamales I've ever had!!“

“This has been our go to place for Friday dinner for over a year now. It’s a bit of a drive from our house but it’s well worth it. Their burgers are outstanding. We had a party for my birthday here a few years ago with about 25 people and they did an awesome job. Everyone was happy. Liana and Natalie are our favorite servers. They both do an awesome job and always go above and beyond. They see us come in and our drinks are on the table shortly after that. The popcorn is pretty good too. Great food, great atmosphere, very friendly staff. Wolfs Head is definitely one of our favorite places.“

“We held a celebration of life for my brother here today. About 50 in attendance in the stylish, comfortable upstairs area. Despite the fact that I planned this from 400 miles away and without having ever seen the venue, it went off without a hitch due to Mr. David Candiotti and his staff. No surprises. “We went in after a miserable day. We were weary and super hungry. The Pony was just the right medicine. Big kudos to our bartender who took great care of us. I had two Anti Heroes-there was a sheen of ice on the top of the beer which is just exactly how beer should be served. Our waffle fries nachos plate was huge. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and tater tots which was equally delicious. We went in around 5pm which is why I gave only four stars for atmosphere there weren't many people around.
