“We started with the vegetable tempura. The veggies were fresh, lightly battered and perfectly cooked. We ordered three different types of rolls, Boston, Sweet potato and shrimp tempura, all were fresh and had excellent flavor. We also had the steak ramen, spectacular! “First time ever here and I'll definitely be coming back you have a choice of 2 different Rice (white and black mixed with rice) and gluten free noodles. So many toppings. I had the Korean BBQ meat and my goodness it was amazing. So many healthy options here and their lemonades are so frickin good!“

“First time trying this place yesterday. It was excellent! I ordered a gyros dinner to go, and an order or fried mushrooms. The dinner came with a Greek salad, which was delicious. The gyro dinner had an abundance of meat and quite a bit of fries, with tomatoes and red onion. It was outstanding! The sauce for the gyro is made in-house and is very good! I did order and extra pita (the dinner comes with 1) and I'm glad I did, because there was just way too much meat for 1 pita! Overall, it was great! The staff, I think it was the owner, was very friendly and nice. I'll definitely be back!“

“Our reservation was for 5pm and we walked in at 502pm. The food for both my wife and I were absolutely the best Italian food we have ever had. The price was excellent for such great quality. “When I arrived at LAX late at night, I was disappointed to find that all the food options were closed. Hungry and unsure of what to get, I stumbled upon a Farmer’s Fridge vending machine and decided to give it a try. I chose the chicken Caesar salad, not expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised. The ingredients were incredibly fresh, the flavors were well-balanced, and it tasted far better than I anticipated. It was a convenient and satisfying option, and I’d definitely grab one again in a pinch!“

“Great food, comfortable atmosphere, wonderful staff and an incredible chef! Have eaten breakfast, lunch and dinner many times here and I’ve never had a bad meal! I recently hosted a dinner for a baby shower for my daughter in their side room. Had 14 people with a catered menu of chicken limone, beef tenderloin, gnocchi, salad, roasted potatoes, and grilled vegetables for a very reasonable price. The food was delicious and the service was superb. This is the second dinner like this that I have done here and it was amazing! Thank you Ms. Medina, Jose , Dorita, and Chef Jose!“

“Greetings my Foodzies, tonight we decided to try a restaurant that we have passed by numerous times. The great escape on Irving at 9540 w Irving Park rd. in Schiller Park.
This is a unique restaurant that has been around for years. The property has a rich history (see the picture I have posted with the story).
The restaurant’s bar area is very rustic with a bar that was hand carved in 1889, very impressive. TVs have been added to draw in a people who want to eat and have a drink while watching TV. Also a gaming section in the bar area.
Music is old school 50-60s, our server Mareen was pleasant, friendly and knowledgeable.
We started with Grilled Calamari it was grilled nicely but could have used a few more seconds to get a little more char flavor. It was also missing the signature balsamic. Glenda chose the Rigatoni in Vodka sauce with chicken; the chicken was scarce and the sauce was not the traditional sauce it had an odd flavor, not terrible but not what we expected. With a cup of lentil soup, tasty but needed a little extra salt. I chose the baby back ribs and broasted chicken (these dishes they are known for) the chicken was very good, crispy skin and very juicy. The ribs were tender but a little dry. The BBQ sauce was the recipe is the recipe of the owner’s grandfather. It was a Kansas City type sweet sauce with a nice smoky flavor (as a first time patron we were given a bottle to take home). I had the baked French onion soup topped with mozzarella, I’m used to Gruyere, Swiss, or Gouda but ut was very good.

“Pizza is great. Salads are good. Large menu. BEWARE. They try to stick you with a 3.00 fee for incidental items you may ask for. This is a turn off. Make sure you have them remove it“

“What a pleasant surprise. Pretty solid food. With generous portions. All at very reasonable prices considering it's in an airport. 2 of the veggie burritos (one had guac, which was an extra $2.59) came to just under $30. They have a seperate Vegan menu that's clearly labeled, with 3 different options. The veggies were fresh- squash, kale, spinach. We will definitely come back here the next time we need a meal at O'Hare. Updated from previous review on 2025-06-30“

I had the Pad Kee Mao w/tofu. The dish was steaming hot and the portion huge!
I ordered it “high spice” and well, that did not happen but that’s fine. I asked for chili paste. Just that most times food cooked with spices is far better than food with spice added on top. The tofu was excellent and plentiful. I did not taste any basil. Tons of fresh vegetables.
If I lived here I would come frequently. I would only ask them to use less oil because there’s a lot of glistening oil left over on the plate. For most people who pay attention: way too oily“
