“I've been here several times. I work in the area quite often and this is my go to spot! The food is great. service is good. clean. I always sit in the lounge (21+ years only ) due to 3 gambling slot machines and it being more of a bar like setting. They also have their family /friend/kid friendly dining area which is the regular restaurant dining area. They also have a large covered area dining area outside . Their parking lot is kind of small but this is a place you wanna check out. I think most will be very pleased”

“Great food, with bold flavors. Excellent service. Definitely makes my list of favorite places to choose from when it's time to eat. The booths are slightly uncomfortable. So I will be sitting at a table from now on. So if you are like me and believe that's the worst, I have to say. Give a try. I believe you will like it too.”

“Holy cow, or should I say pork butt. Stopped in on the way to the Garden of the Gods for a day hike and had the best pulled pork sandwich on this side of the Ohio river. I had onion rings for a side and coconut cream pie for desert. The waitresses were very professional and the price reasonable. After COVID it's hard to find great service like that. The little barn will now be a point of destination instead of just on a whim.”

“They usually make certain foods but we was told that nothing was stocked nor bought to stock up all the food stuff. They need to try or do a lot better with their food stocks and stock for their chips. If you are going to play the slots they are one of the best places to goto to play.”

“First time there but have heard great things. I'm picky about pizza toppings and usually do not get what I asked for BUT not this time.... When ordering the girls at the counter (I believe were sisters) were great! They listened and made sure I got exactly what I was ordering. Hanna, one of the young ladies, even said that she was going to make it herself to be positive I got a correctly made to order pizza.Hanna did just that! She waited on us and was very helpful and took pride in her job. That was such a refreshing thing to see. Not much of that these days. She checked on us and even made suggestions on things to try on our next visit. And we absolutely will be back! We where not having a very good few days (loss family member, packing up belongs and our dog went missing) and needed something to just be ok...So thank you for the great evening at Mackie's Pizza.And Hanna, thank you especially for unknowingly making a couple of ppl feel like it's not all lost out here.Thanks Mackie'sBTW. ... “Have ate here about once a month for the last 12 years. Nothing fancy or elaborate, but can expect quality food every time at a fair price. I could sit and just eat the chips n salsa as a meal. Waiters and always friendly and interact with the kids, as they have been going there their whole life.”

“5/5 star. Hidden gem. I’m a frequent visitor from Chicago as I have family here. My grandfather liked Hardee’s so we tried it for breakfast. It was truly one of the BEST breakfasts I’ve had anywhere. I’m not kidding. The food was clearly just made, hot, fresh. Plenty of sauce for my burrito and generous amounts of powder on my French toast. It was so good I even ordered more food! The $55 meal was WELL worth it and the value was exceptional. The products looked just like the advertisements. I’m blown away and speechless. The morning crew was unbelievable professional and welcoming. You just don’t see this kind of things anymore. I can’t say enough great things about my experience NOTE: this was the Friday morning breakfast crew. The staff was incredible. Every seat was taken, cars backed onto the street, lot full. The place was HOPPING and the staff was moving fast. It’s CLEAR the town recognizes the leadership and quality of this morning crew. Someone share this review of them. You guys made my day and I can’t wait to come back. The orange juice was ICE cold and smooth which made things even better. Freshest I’ve ever had. Very well done. You’re better than Chicago dining! The manager up front did an awesome job managing everything! All employees gave it 100%. Two suggestions. 1) napkin dispenser near drinks. 2) a drive through that is not so tight. Our pickup wouldn’t fit during dinner time (same day) so we had to leave. You gotta fix the drive thru please. Applaud the morning crew. Everything was cooked just right. Not overcooked, not undercooked. Just perfect. The hashbrown bites were 100% perfect. All the food was just perfect. Even the bacon on my sandwich. Not hard or crunchy but moist and juicy. The menu is printed blurry, it's not the picture!Food/Taste/Flavor: 5/5 - ordered a Pepper Beef (D21) and a House Special Fried Rice (F6). They cooked the beef fresh but grabbed the fried rice and egg roll from the buffet line. The pepper beef was tender and well seasoned without it just being soy sauce and salt. The fried rice was flavorful, light, and absolutely delicious! They were very generous with the shrimp and proteins given in the rice! The serving of rice on the pepper beef was a bit small and the egg roll was mediocre. - friendly lady. Seems like there's only 2 people working the entire place, one in the kitchen and the lady up front.Ambiance: n/a - ordered food to go. “It was a normal Wendy's visit. Good meat. I don't prefer leaf lettuce on a hot burger. But eat em quick or the lettuce gets limp. Personal preference. Overall a very good visit.”
