“My wife and I went for lunch and WOW what a pleasant surprise. I ordered the Memphis BBQ sandwich which comes with two sides. My sides were coleslaw and potato salad. My wife ordered the pulled pork sandwich with two sides which were baked beans and coleslaw. This was the best BBQ sandwich I have had in years and even out does Memphis Tn BBQ joints. I don’t know how Sullivan got so lucky to get this place but hopefully they will support it so that it can survive. They are only open Thursday Friday and Saturday so give them a try, trust me you will not be disappointed.”

“I recently hired La Luna’s to cater my Son‘s celebration of life event. This restaurant is amazing, the food is fabulous. Everyone was so impressed by how delicious it was. The kindness and compassion shown to me by Amanda the owner was something I will never forget, she took away so much stress on the worst day of my life. no matter what you need them for they are excellent to work with. Love going there for dinner also!!!! All the employees are so kind and take very good care of their customers.”

“I went to see my favorite band, Van Waylon Band perform. When I heard they were going to be here I made sure to go see them. They have a new bass player and he also sings. So now this band has 5 singers. Wow, most other bands have one or maybe two. They also had a guest singer, Josie Dial. Now this gal has a set of pipes. Do yourself a favor and check out the video I took of her performance. As always the band was fantastic and put on an awesome show. I sure hope they can play here again sometime, and bring that young gal too. This was my first visit to Hager 18 and this place is so cool. The stage is huge and there was plenty of places to sit. While watching the band the wait staff made sure everyone had cold drinks available. I need to tell you about this...There were 2 options for restrooms here. One inside and one on the outside. Other bars should take note. Whoever set this place up really knows their stuff. I will be going back whenever I can. By the way the food was Great!”

“I went for a Class Reunion and had a Great Time! There were Sports on Several TVs. They have Slots. I played darts, and it came down to the last point but to my surprise i won the round. There is plenty of bar space and seating and patrons to fill'em. They have a fenced in beer garden/patio area with a smoke shack for when its cold outside. The staff is very Attentive and very Friendly. The entrances can be a little confusing and treacherousif you don'twatch your step. Plenty of parking albeit mostly gravel. Check it out and you could have a better time than you might expect!”

“Nehemiah’s has quickly become our family favorite and our go to for date nights. From the moment you walk in, the staff makes you feel so welcomed. Everyone is genuinely kind and attentive, which makes such a difference. The food is absolutely incredible and truly stands out for this area. The A5 wagyu appetizer with caviar and crème fraîche is next level, and the prime filet is honestly to die for. We also love the ricotta gnocchi. Everything we have tried has been phenomenal. And do not skip dessert. They are just as impressive as the rest of the menu. A special shoutout to our usual server, Courtney. She is amazing. So attentive and thoughtful, and she even remembers our preferences, which makes every visit feel personalized. Nehemiah’s delivers a prime, gourmet dining experience that you do not expect to find locally. They go above and beyond every time. Highly, highly recommend!”

It's the closest thing to a homemade burger you'll find around here. They even toast the bun. Try it. I guarantee you'll be back!”

“Great karaoke place. Darienne is so kind and runs a fun bar. Staff is super nice and the pizza are good with lots of side items to put on them too. They recently expanded their parking lot and will soon have a really cool covered outdoor space current under construction.”

“We had the buffet. I am very selective when I order fried chicken at restaurants. I love fried chicken and The Villa has the best friend chicken I have ever eaten. Hats off to the person in charge of frying the chicken. I won't mention his name, but he is the best at fixing wonderful friend chicken. My only complaint is I wish the fried chicken was available every day. We will definitely be back many more times in the future.”

“The atmosphere and service are wonderful, but it's the food that makes Hunan my favorite restaurant in Mattoon. After moving to Illinois from California, we were looking for something bigger than a small-town cuisine. Hunan was more than expected. Date night turned into a delicious dinner. My husband had orange chicken, and I had the mushroom chicken, and we shared veggie lo mien. The food was amazing and flavorful. It exceeded our expectations. 100% recommendations. The service was a bit slow, but there was only 1 server, and she did her best to make sure we were taken care of. We will go back!”

The young staff gave us attentive and friendly service throughout our visit. If you’ve been thinking about trying this place, I highly recommend stopping by before summer comes to a close! The marina also offers golf cart rides down to the restaurant if you are parked up at the top!”
