“This establishment was recommended to us and couldn't be more pleased. Very friendly, welcoming 3rd generation family owned restaurant. Best onion rings - I usually stay away from rings as I find them too greasy and tasteless. These were the opposite. Homemade, crispy, sweet onions balanced with lightly salted crust - Perfect!”

“Wow! This was our first time at Popeyes and there were 8 of us celebrating my in-laws 40th wedding anniversary! Chuck was our server and everything was absolutely incredible. The service, atmosphere & food far exceeded my expectations. We had onion rings and crab cakes as an appetizer. Both were some of the best we've ever had. The bread and salads were fantastic as well. Steaks, pork chops and fried chicken were all to die for. Because we were celebrating an anniversary, two slices of cheesecake were brought out & were SO good! I can't wait to go back!!Kid-friendliness: Kids menu was extensive- both kiddos (ages 11 & 9) loved the appetizers & their meals!”

“Cute little coffee shop with friendly owner. They just started offering scones and muffins. The bacon, cheese and sweet onion scone was melt in your mouth good!We are cross country travelers and found this to be a great stop we will make sure we don’t miss next time we come this way!”

“I have been at well over a thousand weddings in my life as a DJ and I've never seen anything like the display that covered in chocolate had last night! I wish I could have tried everything! The cake pops were delicious and moist, the chocolate covered strawberries were perfect! The chocolate didn't crumble off and make a huge mess when you bit into them, and the strawberry cookies were so amazing with fresh cut strawberries on top! Everything was set up so beautifully 10/10 will recommend and use them at my wedding!”

“Very spacious for events, friendly staff. Both upstairs and downstairs. Tuesday's they serve delicious tacos and Sundays are Queen of Hearts Drawings not as big as the half a million jackpot at Aviston Legion. But growing. The first game it went out the first night. So that was a 1000. Now on second game as of Nov 25, 2017. Lounge is nice and the downstairs dining hall is lovely.”

“Stopped in to watch the Packers. Nice place with several TVs to accommodate everyone's games. Bartenders were great, especially since they were so busy. Bonus: the Jack Daniel's girl stopped in to pass out samples and swag. Glad we visited here.”

“This place was packed and I understand why... The food was great! It's way better than anything you get at other "fast food" restaurants. I bought lunch for 2 and it was only $20. I mean you go anywhere else and you pay close to that just for yourself. The girl working the register was nice and got the order right. Food came out somewhat quickly. I think we waited like 15 mins which wasn't a big deal. Like I said... The food was awesome! My burger was damn near perfect and the fries were great. Of course I got a large Ski. Their large drinks could be a little bit bigger though. It was a great lunch. Great food!! I will definitely be back!”

“We always love taking the trip to El Arado and grabbing a bite if we are in the mood for Mexican Cuisine. Food is always good and people are always in and out. Favorite things are the white sweet sauce they bring out with chips and I always enjoy a good Cherry Ski. For food we are pretty simple with chicken and rice or shrimp and rice.”

We waited over 30 minutes for two burgers in a not busy restaurant (2 other tables - 1 already had eaten).You can order ahead or order to-go, which I highly recommend if you’re looking for a quick stop on your travels. Also, it is cash only, but they do have an ATM.Food was 5/5, but unexpectedly slow service dropped it a star.”

“Heard good things but our experience exceeded expectations! We came on a Friday night around 5 and it was already packed, which they said was normal for weekends. Even so, we were seated right away and had extremely attentive service. The back room we were in was a little loud, but that’s because so many people were enjoying themselves. My partner said the food reminded him of the Mexican in California. Everything was seasoned and cooked perfectly. We can’t wait to go back!”

“Wow what an amazing place to have dinner this is my second evening there yesterday Leo was our server and he was awesome that young man made us feel like we were just family stopping by for dinner, he's a very polite and respectful young man his parents should be proud of him, I and my wife both liked him instantly. Great job Leo.And tonight Monica was our server and she as well was awesome very friendly and told us of all the things happening in this little town for new years ,very helpful thank you. “Owner/ bartender was working behind the bar. Good bar right in the middle of town. Across the street from a church and the school which made me chuckle.I believe it was built in 1886 in great shape for being that old . They have added on to the back and have darts and a couple other games available”

“We had burgers and beer here after our car broke down on I-64 and we had to stay the night in Okawville. It was a good experience. We walked to the bar from the Suoer 8, and the staff was very attentive and accommodating. We particularly enjoyed the deep fried garlic Parmesan wings. There was nothing wrong with our burgers and fries, either. All in all, it was a good night.”
