“Back at Hart's Garage after a year or so, new owner Louis and buddies bringing in a much better beef patty on the Smash Burger 🍔 Louis own sauce with a really nice KICK, perfect with a beer or an Old Fashion Sour. The burger sauce reminds me a little of the Big Mac but a million times better and tastier. Those peppers in the sauce are really good and like I said - the beef is much juicer. The sauce in my opinion would also be perfect on a chicken sandwich and the chicken egg roles. I Highly recommend Pingree Grove and Hampshire to come on out followed by all the near towns and burbs, looking at you Huntley, Gilbert and Lake In The Hills etc.

New owners have some good plans in the works for NFL season, MLB play-offs and of course ladies nights and games.

“We just finished celebrating our daughter's college graduation at the Cooper's Hawk in Algonquin. I cannot say enough about the awesome experience we had. Starting with Angelina handling all the details to the planning of the event, to the room being set up just perfect; to Joel and Natalie who were the absolute best servers we could have had; to the delicious food (OMG the salmon) and dessert that was served; and of course, not to mention the wonderful wine tasting bar. All our guests were so impressed! Thank you, Cooper's Hawk, for taking such good care of us. You made our celebration one we will remember.“

“I visited the Crystal Lake Culver’s on Saturday, May 24th, 2025. I am an avid fan of Culver’s and I have visited 35 locations in Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Missouri and Kentucky. As a resident of Crystal Lake I visit this Culver’s very regularly. The food was excellent and the service was quick. “I’ve eaten at Bleuroot twice when traveling through Chicago for hockey trips. Every bite has been phenomenal and there have been many “Oh you’ve got to try this” shared plates. The staff are amazing and this is a place where it’s okay to be loud and boisterous and joyful. Thanks to Maria and the crew for a great experience (and excellent customer service mailing me back a pair of prescription sunglasses I left on the table!). “Me and the boyfriend came threw the chicken strips and bacon deluxe was really good and there fries and cheese curds. but are concrete mixers we both took a bit and threw them away I got the pumpkin mixer with pecans and asked for regular Carmel instead of salted they gave me salted and a crap load of pecans boyfriend got chocolate ice cream with peanut butter cups there was so much peanut butter in there I don't even think there was chocolate ice cream it was so thick you could barely swallow it without drinking something with it he threw his out to.“

“This is a new Culver's, still great food, in a modern package. You must try everything but for your first time go with a butter burger, cheese curds, and leave room for custard of your choice.

Next time (there will be a next time) look beyond a burger and try the cod, pot roast sandwich, or soup.

All of the staff were wonderful. the pro shop looked great and had lots of great items, everything was clean inside, the course looked really nice, and they even have some virtual golfing booths inside now that the weather is getting colder. Great place. Next time we will eat there, the food looked really good.“

“All I can say is, if you enjoy top of the line service along with food that knocks your socks off, EAT HERE!!! ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS!!! 10 ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆!!!! I'm in this area 1x a year and already plan on making reservations for next year. Plan ahead and make a reservation. It's obvious it is very popular and our reservation was 4:30pm. Packed. Go! It says it comes with marinara sauce, but then makes you select from a list of sauces and marinara is not a choice. So one time I just picked a different sauce and got that sauce and not the marinara and the other time I picked no sauce and didn’t get anything. So if marinara sauce could be added to the sauce selection so there’s no confusion that would be wonderful.“

“I haven't been to Alexander's in years and my last experience wasn't a good one. The food wasn't great and the service was terrible. This time was a complete 180° experience! The place has been renovated and looks very nice and very clean (including the very nice restroom). The food and service were, both, wonderful with nice selections on the menu. We went on a weekend, so they had a piano player who was very good. Even the prices weren't the usual "painful" experience of most restaurants. We will, definitely, return. I went because I was told they had improved, considerably, from what I remembered. They have!“

“I came here with a couple friends about a month ago on a Tuesday night and it happened to be their trivia night. And we ended up joining in on the fun.

The place is huge! The main room has a long bar and was full. We were seated in a room across from the bar. It was also huge and I think they occasionally had live music in that room. Our server was attentive and was constantly refilling our drinks. However, once we finished eating, we never saw our server again. Not even to to fill up water. As soon as the trivia ended, our server resurfaced and hovered while we settled our bill. Weird, right?

We were seated in a booth. Just three of us. It could have easily held six people.

So, someone comes by and says we're playing trivia. It's on the app and he shows us the app and tells us how to set it up.

This is all before we order drinks. It's all about the trivia. I have no idea where the other teams were as the place was ginormous.

We were there for our burger club. Between the three of us, we ordered the Tavern burger and the 'Merica burger. They were cooked very well, very flavorful. The buns held up, cheese melted well and fries crispy, but not too crispy. Everything was good...

Except that damn trivia game. It took forever. A simple trivia game that should have last maybe 45 minutes dragged on for nearly two hours. It was insane how slow it was. And no one wanted to leave? And I have no idea why as the prize was like a $25 gift card. It was lame.

I'll definitely return to try some of their other food, but I'll avoid their damn trivia night.“

“My husband and I have been to Paul's in the past but we recently took our 1 year old for breakfast on his 1st birthday and the staff were SO kind! Our waitress surprised us with icecream (his first sweet treat!) and sang him happy birthday. It made his special day feel even more special.
