Starting with Angelina handling all the details to the planning of the event, to the room being set up just perfect; to Joel and Natalie who were the absolute best servers we could have had; to the delicious food (OMG the salmon) and dessert that was served; and of course, not to mention the wonderful wine tasting bar. “Back at Hart's Garage after a year or so, new owner Louis and buddies bringing in a much better beef patty on the Smash Burger 🍔 Louis own sauce with a really nice KICK, perfect with a beer or an Old Fashion Sour. The burger sauce reminds me a little of the Big Mac but a million times better and tastier. Those peppers in the sauce are really good and like I said - the beef is much juicer. The sauce in my opinion would also be perfect on a chicken sandwich and the chicken egg roles. I Highly recommend Pingree Grove and Hampshire to come on out followed by all the near towns and burbs, looking at you Huntley, Gilbert and Lake In The Hills etc.

New owners have some good plans in the works for NFL season, MLB play-offs and of course ladies nights and games.

“I’ve eaten at Bleuroot twice when traveling through Chicago for hockey trips. Every bite has been phenomenal and there have been many “Oh you’ve got to try this” shared plates. The staff are amazing and this is a place where it’s okay to be loud and boisterous and joyful. Thanks to Maria and the crew for a great experience (and excellent customer service mailing me back a pair of prescription sunglasses I left on the table!). “First time for everything deep-fried pickles, AMAZING!!! Chicken fettuccine with grilled chicken was smooth and creamy. Fresh warm bread and butter with a crispy salad. I'll be back 100%. We ate outside, and the server was AWSOME. A young man who made sure we had what we needed.“

“I visited the Crystal Lake Culver’s on Saturday, May 24th, 2025. I am an avid fan of Culver’s and I have visited 35 locations in Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Missouri and Kentucky. As a resident of Crystal Lake I visit this Culver’s very regularly. The food was excellent and the service was quick. “I hardly believe this, but I left today and they forgot to include my coleslaw. I got home and called to mention it. I was told they'd bring the coleslaws to me. I thought it was a joke, like doctors making house calls. Sure enough, they came to my door with the coleslaws, an extra, and a pint of blueberry cheesecake. Unbelievable! I've gone there since they opened. Now I won't go anywhere else. Caring about customers isn't lost! Wonderful people!“

“My husband and I enjoyed our game night dinner at Twin Peaks. Our server Leilanie was such a LOVELY lady. She was so patient with us, as we wanted to try multiple items on the menu. She made a few great suggestions, so thanks to that, I end up having the salmon dinner and my husband had the ribs, and OMG both were great choices!!
We will definitely go back to that location.

“All our food was great. We had the shrimp chowder which I thought was outstanding! I had the crab roll and my hubby had the filet sandwich. Both were exceptional. Service was speedy, friendly, and engaging. The menu was large enough it was hard to decide, but definitely something for everyone.“

“This is a new Culver's, still great food, in a modern package. You must try everything but for your first time go with a butter burger, cheese curds, and leave room for custard of your choice.

Next time (there will be a next time) look beyond a burger and try the cod, pot roast sandwich, or soup.

“My family went here today. All of the staff were wonderful. the pro shop looked great and had lots of great items, everything was clean inside, the course looked really nice, and they even have some virtual golfing booths inside now that the weather is getting colder. Great place. Next time we will eat there, the food looked really good.“

“Me and the boyfriend came threw the chicken strips and bacon deluxe was really good and there fries and cheese curds. but are concrete mixers we both took a bit and threw them away I got the pumpkin mixer with pecans and asked for regular Carmel instead of salted they gave me salted and a crap load of pecans boyfriend got chocolate ice cream with peanut butter cups there was so much peanut butter in there I don't even think there was chocolate ice cream it was so thick you could barely swallow it without drinking something with it he threw his out to.“

“Went to Montarra for out 49th wedding anniversary. When my husband made the reservation he was asked if it was a special occasion. As a result every person we were served by wished us a happy anniversary and we received special souvenir menus acknowledging the occasion. Everything was outstanding from my Apple Pie Old Fashioned to the English Toffee Sticky Pudding (served on a plate with Happy Anniversary written in chocolate syrup!). The service was the best we've had anywhere and the decor and ambience is beautiful. Would give them a 10 if I could!“

“I am a simple man. I usually get 2 eggs and some kind of meat. This place does a fine job and the other items I have tried off the menu are good as well. Usually not a long wait and has plenty of space even on Sunday. Staff is always friendly. Only complaint is that it can be on the pricier side but that's just the price of doing business nowadays. You could definitely do worse for breakfast.“

“Great chicken fingers!!! But if someone in charge could please fix the menu on DoorDash for the mozzarella sticks? It says it comes with marinara sauce, but then makes you select from a list of sauces and marinara is not a choice. So one time I just picked a different sauce and got that sauce and not the marinara and the other time I picked no sauce and didn’t get anything. So if marinara sauce could be added to the sauce selection so there’s no confusion that would be wonderful.“

“I have been working at village inn for about 8 months! The family and staff are one of the sweetest genuine people you will ever meet. My nonna was battling cancer for a year and recently passed. The family gave me support and just comfort in general. I don’t only go to village to work, I go there to work and feel like family. Food is awesome, and you will find the hardest working staff. Couldn’t have asked for more supportive bosses and employees. - The restaurant also sent flowers to my Nonnas memorial!“
