“I can't even express how much I LOVE this place. I've lived in Gilman since August 2021 and have been a frequent guest of Crossroads Cantina and for the past 10 months I have had the best food and service. I have had zero complaints...until this past month. Now the service is still rather decent, but it is not what I am used to. Our usual waitress was a joy to be around. She may have not known our names but she did know us. Yet we have not seen her in well over a month. She may have retired, or simply found another job, but we truly miss her so much. A couple weeks before last Christmas I watched her work her proverbial a** off because she was the only waitress/bartender on staff but she did not miss a beat, and we have always tipped her very well. But lately, the wait staff has left a little something to be desired. This past Thursday we went there for supper and while the service was somewhat decent, it was lacking. Not enough attention was paid to the tables and I would like to say the place was busy but there were maybe 8 full tables, and 5 guys sitting at the bar, maybe kinda busy but I have seen it FAR busier and I had EXCELLENT service on those nights. Never had to wait for a drink, and never had to re ask for my side of ranch for my fries. Don't get me wrong, the service is still decent, but damn, I do miss our regular waitress.“
“My daughter and I come here often and love the food our favorite servers are Kelly and Mariah!!!I have to add more we went to Denny's one day and the only server there was Kelly let me tell you that woman is amazing she served everyone timely and with such friendliness, she really goes above and beyond.Part 3 We ended up at Denny's for Christmas dinner ( because of a mishap with a stinky turkey) I felt terrible but again Kelly was there and made our Christmas dinner cherry and bright.❤️Kid-friendliness: They are wonderful to my 7 yr old daughter“
“My friends and I stopped off at Boondocks after a football game in Champaign, on our way back to Chicago. The food was good, more than just a bar menu; and the beer was cold. Prices were fair and the lady owner couldn’t have been more welcoming.“
