“Market Street Grill, Paxton ILTalked my sister DJ into trying a new restaurant in Paxton.I had heard a lot of good things about this place and the outstanding food which Manager Ryan was producing.We decided to share a few of the appetizers so we could try more than 1 thing.We had the Chips and “Queso” cheese. Chips were I believe house made and the queso also homemade with a nice little flavor kick.We had the Chicken Roll, which had excellent flavor and crunch. The sauce with it was a favorite for me. Great flavor and a nice heat, but not over the top. This is an Excellent Choice.We also had 2 flavors of Wings. Asian & Majestic. Both of these were Very Good.As some of you know, I moved to Tennessee last year. I Promise you I will be going back when I can.Ryan, you are killing it. “Awesome, awesome burgers!! If you like a thin burger like me, then this is the place for you. It is a step back in time. You walk in and get in line to the left, place your order and then move to the line on the right. Your turn will be in front of the window with a view of the process. Do not leave because the line looks too long. They are fast and you are out in no time. The shakes are great and so are the fries. Always check the hours. Support this small, local business!! I drive an hour to grab the best burgers around.“
“I luv trying new places/hole in the wall dinners/anything small town because it's a hit or miss, and as a trucker that's been erywere in the United States, I stumbled in because of my girls brother while visiting. I always try a different place while visiting him and always try/order wat their known for. But this place right here lol I luv it. The food was great, their special sauce was amazing, and the hostess chick Heather was so perfect that I got a complete experience with my girl and her brother that I had to leave a review wit 5*****s. Anyways, this place is Def a hit and any1 passing thru while checking out reviews, if it's a little out of ur way but still comes up on ur maps, trust me n take this detour, sum small town places and small town people like this place n Heather will leave u a lifetime of smiles and I've been erywere as a trucker. “Our Google GPS took us on a ten minute tour of Paxton (which has a nostalgic downtown) before taking us to the Paxton Family Restaurant which is actually just a few seconds west of the I-57 exit!The building is non- descript from the outside, but the atmosphere inside is small-town warm and friendly. Bree, our server, was quick to offer Specials and advice. I ordered the Italian Beef and fries, because in my experience, it tells a lot about a restaurant. It was very good, REAL beef roast, not some paper-thin slices of processed meat. The beef was tasty, piled high, covered with cheese, and tender. It was one of the best I've had! It was served with au-jus and thick fries.I was also given a big slice of a three layer chocolate cake because it was my birthday!We make the trip to Champaign often and will make the Paxton Family Restaurant a frequent stop! It was everything you hope to find in a rural, home-town restaurant!“
