“We were so excited to have found this new place for yummy sushi poke bowl! We adore that modernized look of the restaurant and there are a lot of variety of poke bowls to choose from. My boys like the mushroom and California rolls sushi while I enjoyed the spicy hot fish poke bowl a lot. The staff and owner were super friendly and nice. The place was stylish, neat and clean. The sashimi was fresh and delicious! The food was served fast and the price was reasonable too. We are definitely coming back!“

“this has become my favorite poké bowl shop in the city. the quality of ingredients i think is a cut above the rest, especially the salmon. i’ve had dozens and dozens of bowls from here and will keep coming back for more, as it’s just consistently delicious, well-portioned bowls.

out of all these bowls i’ve eaten, one was not the quality i’ve come to expect (WAY too much unagi sauce), but after calling, the person i spoke with made it right immediately with a replacement bowl. i really appreciated the great service!!“

“We were in the area and happened to stop by here completely by chance. The place is okay. Unlike other spots where you already have “pre-assembled” ingredients for a poke bowl and just choose which one you want (so-called signature bowls), here you have to build it yourself. The poke was fine. The ingredients are fresh, and since I picked what I like, of course I enjoyed it. The place feels cozy and interesting, with lots of plants inside. My only complaint is that the low white tables are very close together, so you literally can’t move. They need to be spaced out a bit.“

I ordered the tonkotsu ramen and my partner ordered the general tso chicken (and we both got some tempura shrimp). The server was so kind and polite and our food was AMAZING. “This is a nice poke place & and the entries very fairly priced, seems a little cheaper then other similar poke places. The atmosphere is of a little more upscale fast food place - nice and clean but not super cozy or stylish. Good place to have a quick bite of healthy tasty food but nothing to write home about. You won't regret stopping here. Oh, and I also loved the the water was filtered - they poor it from a carafe filter stored in a fridge.“

“Pono Ono is the best poke in Evanston, and also some of the best value for money meals in Evanston too! You get lots of toppings included in the price, the service is always friendly and fast, and there are always places to sit. Its my go-to and I would definitely recommend.“

“Love this location, and maybe because there’s easy street parking or maybe it’s because they are connected to Mochii donuts. Okay no donuts for me.
